i have a mancrush on bale O_O

Its about time, a real Joker portrayal, instead of a toned down version we have had of more then late.

Well my friends and I saw I am legend on the Imax tonight. Simply WOW. I mean, the Dark Knight footage is great, and it was great to see an element of the Jokers plans comming together in 6 minutes. But One HUGE thing we should tip our hats to Nolan for is filmming the movie with Imax cameras. Seariously, the quality shows. After watching the footage in crystal clarity, you then watch I am legend which was NOT filmmed in 70mm Like the Dark knight, and the difference in quality is staggering. it's amazing to see a film (Even if only 6 minutes of it) THAT clear spread accross a 6 story screen. i cant wait to see the whole film in the Imax.

That's pretty cool.

the 6 min was pretty amazing, 6 birds one stone

There it is, for those who don't wish to look through it when it isn't new anymore...

And I'd just like to mention that this is only ONE of SIX different interpretations that will be found on the DVD...

Yeah, but I've seen it get a lot of hate on Super Hero Hype...

Thanks, Passione was VERY nice to have made it for me...

Anyway, I've seen a detailed plot synopsis (very spoilerish, I might add) of TDK floating around the net somewhere... Jett on BOF is firm against posting it on his site, so I was thinking of posting it here... Is it against the rules? (Oh, and I can't really guarantee that it's the true plot, it may just be a fan's thoughts on what the plot truly is...)

I read that also. I think that a lot of it is false, especially the end part. You should be able to post it here, but just in case ask a Mod.

Upcoming action figures for The Dark Knight...

Zoom Blast Batman...

Oh FFS.

The last one looks kool...

I might pick that one up, to bolster my Batman collectibles shelf...

Chris Nolan talking about Harvey Dent(and Joker too).

January 11, 2008 - Director Christopher Nolan claims that, while the Joker (as played by Heath Ledger) is the most high-profile new character featured in his forthcoming Bat-sequel The Dark Knight, the movie actually belongs to District Attorney Harvey Dent (played by Aaron Eckhart).

In a brief chat with the Los Angeles Times, Nolan said, "Harvey Dent is a tragic figure, and his story is the backbone of this film." As all Bat-fans know, the handsome and politically ambitious Dent is destined to become the scarred supervillain Two-Face. It is believed that Two-Face will be the main villain in the next sequel.

"The Joker, he sort of cuts through (The Dark Knight)," Nolan explained. "He's got no story arc, he's just a force of nature tearing through. Heath has given an amazing performance in the role, it's really extraordinary."

"It's a dark and complex story," Nolan added, "and the villains are dark and complex as well."

The Times also confirms rumors that made the rounds online last year that Cillian Murphy will reprise his role from Batman Begins as The Scarecrow in The Dark Knight.

That just sounds awesome. It sounds like Nolan has the characters down. I've been DYING to see a proper harvey Dent/Two face story brought to the big screen. Because let's face it, "Forever" just didn't deliver. Using the story of Harvey as the films tragedy is perfect. However, the Joker remains my favorite of all time. Not giving him a detailed back story is fine with me. When the Joker first appeared in the DC universe, no back story was given. He was simply the Joker.
The Jokers character is carried by his theatrics, insanity, and brilliance. The games he plays with batman are whay he lives for. Two face's character is carried by the Tragedy of Harvey Dent. That this good man got scared, and broken.
it looks like Nolan has nailed it, and this re-enforces my belief that The Dark Knight will be the movie of the year.

Yeah, there's no doubt that the characters are gonna be spot on, it's just that some other things kinda irk me (more visual-wise)...

In no particular order:

-Joker's hair: I like the idea of facepaint/scar smile, but the long hair just doesn't look right for the Joker, imo. It should have been shorter...

-The Batpod: Not really feelin' the Batpod... A regular motorcycle would have worked fine...

-The "Light-Cave": I know that the Manor is being rebuilt, but can't he have like, a disguised hideout somewhere in the city that ISN'T a room that has a ceiling basically MADE of lights? Honestly, with all the lights on, AND the Tumbler just parked there in the open, you'd think someone would check up on that...

Either way, it's gonna be the Movie of the Year...

Yeah, and I understand that the Jokers new look is a deviation from the unfamiliar...But in seeing him in the trailer, I honestly believe that his mannerisms, voice and actions fit his look. You cant change one without the whole thing not working together. Heath Ledgers Joker would not work as well with the more traditional Joker look.

As for the Batpod, I don't know about you, but I BITCHED hard core about the Tumbler in The dark knight...But when I saw it in action, I loved it. I think SOMETHING about the bat Pod will be bad ass. Like the maneuver he does at the end of the trailer where he turns the bike around while in motion. I don't know. I've learned that in the world of Bat vehicles, I will be neutral until I see them in the film.

As for the new cave...well...yeah, it's just different. I could make excuses all night long, but ultimately, I don't know. lol. We'll see about that one. I have faith in Nolan, but we'll see about the new cave. It's definitely less theatrical, but maybe more practical?

Is that new light cave the Batcave below wayne manner? Or is it in in Gotham somewhere?
