Yes Bruce is..

Hmmm. Well, at least it's not a re-modeling of the old bat cave. in that, I'll accept it looking much different, since it in fact is not the old cave....But I'll bet the electric bill in that building sucks ass in leu of the light celling.

What was the primary song playing in the trailer?

It was music from the Batman begins soundtrack. The song is called "Molossus"

All I have to say is.....yeah baby!

That just sounds awesome. It sounds like Nolan has the characters down. I've been DYING to see a proper harvey Dent/Two face story brought to the big screen. Because let's face it, "Forever" just didn't deliver. Using the story of Harvey as the films tragedy is perfect. However, the Joker remains my favorite of all time. Not giving him a detailed back story is fine with me. When the Joker first appeared in the DC universe, no back story was given. He was simply the Joker.
The Jokers character is carried by his theatrics, insanity, and brilliance. The games he plays with batman are whay he lives for. Two face's character is carried by the Tragedy of Harvey Dent. That this good man got scared, and broken.
it looks like Nolan has nailed it, and this re-enforces my belief that The Dark Knight will be the movie of the year.

So true, what a shame Heath won't be there to see it, however it promises to be a good film, and true to the nature of the characters.

Honestly. heath ledgers death is straight up shocking. I mean, he was on his way up. I saw that guy sticking arround as a respected actor for decades! I have been pretty much preaching since I saw the Dark Knight trailer that heath ledger will be the definitive Joker. It looks like his final performance as the Joker is going to be a knockout.
At this point, IF the Joker lives through the dark Knight...I really think they might do better just to not have the Joker in the third movie. Re-casting Heath Ledgers rendition of the joker to someone else would be like recasting someone else to play jack Sparrow.

Maybe they will kill off the Joker in the movie so he wont be in the 3rd movie.

Thats kind of what I'm thinking. I was REALLY looking forward to the Joker possibly being in 2 Nolan Batman movies. But at this point, I think laying the character to rest might be the better call.

i have a feeling that TDK will be a different movie than the one we would've seen i Heath was alive, for some reason.

Like there're gonna be some changes. And we may never know about it. Too friken bad. Unless the director tells on the dvd. The films' definitely gonna be dedicated to Heath and that other tech-guy that got killed on the set.

rip heath aka the silent rebel

I can understand, perhaps if he was meant to live they will add an extra scene, with him dieing, of course HL cannot play the part, so it could be implied that he has met his end, but his last performance promises to be his best, which makes it all the more bittersweet.

I honestly hope that they don't do that... I think they should add one extra scene into the movie...

Joker falls from a high platform of some sort and apparently dies, but we never find a body... That way, Joker doesn't "die", but we don't have to recast the role, as I think in Nolan's series at least, we should keep the Joker as Ledger's...

If Batman kills the Joker in TDK it'd be weird. Seeing Heather getting killed on the big screen cause he'd dead would just seem awkward and just kinda messed up, a little.

They may let the Joker live by him getting caught, getting sent back to Arkane Asylum, or to jail, with someone else playing the Joker in the sequel but even that may blow not only because they have to change the Joker, again, but because if Heath does an excellent job as the Joker it's just gonna be another trumping contest everyone gonna focus on instead of the Joker character himself.

i dunno, w/e. i'll be there opening day to see the movie and to see what'll happen.

I think if he get's sent away and is not seen in the sequel would perhaps be the best solution, or kill him off, without seeing him die.

You can't just fade the Joker away, either. Doing it that way would be a disservice to what's known as one of the top most respected super villains in comics. He's Batman's arch rival/nemesis for goodness sake. Any climax involving the two should go out with a bang. You have to clearly show how it ends with the 2 without any subtleties. Thing is, with Heath's death now, how do you do it gracefully and respectfully while at the same time making the showdown spectacular, as it should be.

I never meant it like that, implie that he is dead would be perhaps the best solution, whoever else picks up the role is bound to have disappointment in there wake, I feel if they do not kill him of, say blow up the police van he is in, you could only have him being in AA, never to be seen again.

As far as I know, The Joker DOES not die in The Dark Knight. The original plan was to have him be in the next film, however I'm sure Chris Nolan and Warner Bros will come up with something great.

Oh man. Heath returning as the Joker in TDK2 would've atomically owned over all, hard, forever and ever.

But now it's not gonna be the case. And if someone else comes along as a different Joker it would look too fake. Like the guy's a Joker clone cause the movies would be to close, time-wise and story-wise, it be incredible meaning not believable.

Even if it's like an Adrien Brody. The only one that would be able to satisfy me would be Jack Nicholson.

Perhaps set it a few years later.
