He prolly won't do a lot of action. He might have his henchmen do the fighting.

I love his charred suit over wearing a crazy two-tone suit, though it could change in third movie.

I am not saying that I am saying that it looks like his face pasted on the body of a girl. I don't think that it is impossible for them to do that in the movie I'm saying it looks like a fake. And like I said earlier I read an interview with Chris Nolan and he said that the Joker isnt seen without make-up in the film.

Okay I know it's been a while since I brought this up, buuut I finally found the website that said that The Joker never removes his make-up in the film and I was mistaken Chris Nolan does not say that but the make-up designer for Joker says that he never removes or reapplies his make-up in the movie...but considering that this information is from wikipedia it could be false. Anyway here it is...

Costume designer Lindy Hemming described the Joker's look as reflecting his personality — that "he doesn't care about himself at all"; she avoided designing him as a vagrant but still made him appear to be "scruffier, grungier", so that "when you see him move, he's slightly twitchier or edgy."[12][16] Nolan noted, "We gave a Francis Bacon spin to [his face]. This corruption, this decay in the texture of the look itself. It's grubby. You can almost imagine what he smells like."[78] In creating the "anarchical" look of the Joker, Hemming drew inspiration from such countercultural pop culture artists as Pete Doherty, Iggy Pop, and Johnny Rotten.[8][79] During the course of the film, the Joker never removes his make-up, and his scarring becomes exaggerated, worsening like an infection.[12] Ledger described his "clown" mask, made up of three pieces of stamped silicone, as a "new technology", much quicker to apply than regular prosthetics, and he felt that he was barely wearing any make-up at all.[17] It took only an hour for the make-up artists to apply to Ledger's face.[12

"He doesn't care about himself at all" doesn't sound like the Joker I know...

The Joker is supposed to care about himself and ONLY about himself... He's a homicidal, egotistical madman...

Exactly Bat Dude. That's why I hate this new look anyone who would make the Joker look like this doesn't get him at all. Of course he cares about himself. If he didn't have such a wildly inflated sense of self importance and ego mania he wouldn't bother doing any of the things he does.

Now that's just nit picking

It's scarrier if he doesn't care about himself, that makes him even more of a madman.

But if he doesn't care about himself then he's not really the Joker because the Joker does care about himself, quite a bit. He's an egomaniac there's no way he'd go around looking like that.

And isn't that essentially what these fanboy and fangirl message boards are for? The that's awesome...or it sucks, and here's why.

The new Joker look IMO sucks, and whoever designed it doesn't understand the Joker at all IMO.

The Joker doesn't care about himself in every comic, in some, he's just crazy. 😎

Now don't get me wrong, I like this new Joker (it's a different take on a classic character, which I'm all for), but I have to agree with Selina on this one...

The classic interpretation of the Joker (the one used in almost EVERY comic he appears in) is that he cares about only himself... If he didn't care about himself, and didn't care about what is thought of him, he wouldn't do all the fantastically theatrical stuff that he does, and he wouldn't become such a coward when he's on the losing side of a battle... The fact is that the Joker LOVES attention, and LOVES himself...

The thing about someone who doesn't care about anything, not even himself, is that he is unpredictable, and does what ever he pleases without worrying about the consequences, thus the Joker could not care about himself, and be a total coward on a losing side, and want attention, and temporarily love himself and no others, and vice versa.

It's called true sociopath, they are as crazy as it gets.

And a true sociopath sees themselves as the only person in the world so they'd have a value on themselves. They see themselves as a god and other people and things as things that don't really exist and something they can dispose of.

The Joker does care about himself, period. He cares about his appearance and how he is perceived. He wouldn't even bother trying to destroy everything and giving the town a better breed of criminal as he says in the trailer if he didn't have an inflated sense of self importance. Not to mention his tailor made clothes and his taste for the theatrical. That all screams someone who cares about themselves and their appearance. So how they reconciled making his make up so uberly shitty is beyond me.

The Joker does care about himself, a great deal. I think anyone who has read the comics or seen him in action in other mediums like the movies or all the other TV interpretations of him including the animated series can see that he cares about himself, and himself alone. That's why Harley has a hard time getting close to him try as she might.

The Joker cares about himself only so far as he cares about Batman. The Joker has no regard for others. And you're right, he cares most about himself. They're all fair game in the game of life. Just because he has no regard for other human life doesn't mean that he is needlessly selfish. There is no such thing as "needlessly" selfish. It only means The Joker would gladly die, as long as Batman goes with him.

Alls I'm saying is if he cares about himself he wouldn't go around looking like that.

There's a reason why the Joker has looked the way he has looked over the years. The psychology of the character has been built around that appearance.
