Hell, they could have not even put Batman in the movie and it would still have been a great crime drama. This was totaly Joker's movie....

Exactly...This will be the movie all other comic book movies are measured. It's sick for a movie to be so good it would still be great without it's hero.

As for the third flick, I think the dialogue at the end showed us who they're going to develop as Robin. "Why is he running? But he didn't do anything wrong". Only Gordon and the kid know the truth, which is the perfect lead-in for the kid to dedicate himself to copycatting Batman, which leads to Bats scolding then reluctantly training him.

They'll probably tell us Joker died in prison. But while alive he shared a cell with an Edward Nigma, who's psychotic enough in his own way that Joker sees him as an heir of sorts to his mayhem. But Harvey Dent's got other plans...

Catwoman shows up as a Chinese beauty (Lucy Lu) who comes to Gotham seeking revenge for Batman's capture of her father. Her sole purpose is to kill The Batman and regain her family's honor.

The League of Shadows returns! After refusing to lead the League of Shadows, Talia al Ghul seeks out the one man who can protect her, The Batman. Talia and Bruce grow close but the sting of loosing Rachel keeps them apart...

The movie ends with double fight scenes ala Revenge of The Sith. After developing feelings for Bruce, Talia confronts Catwoman on a Gotham rooftop while Batman and Robin fight The League below, with Robin returning the favor of saving Bruce's life. At the last moment Alfred & Luscious figure out the Riddler's riddle but it's too late! Our heroes are surrounded by the Riddler's gun-toting thugs and prepares to go down as only heroes do. Bruce expresses regret at training Robin when suddenly the miraculous happens:Harvey Dent flips a coin and sacrifices himself to save Gotham's true hero.

I know this is a lot, but the way Chris Nolan gave all of his characters the perfect amount of screen time, I believe he can make this a 3 hour epic to rival The Dark Night.

I could have a full script ready for $10 mil U.S., if anyone at Warner Bros. is reading. 😉

I will and you will love it... 😈

Okay, I gotta say, I bagged on this movie a bit, but the more time that goes by the more I keep thinking about the awesome aspects of the movie and the more I want to see it again. Okay.

I can't even begin to fathom the thought of Chris Nolan toying with the idea of adding 'Robin' to this masterpiece! Why tinker with something that is perfect just the way it is!!!

I have already read so much speculation about the next movie and who the villians will be, but I shudder at the thought that there is a possibility of 'Robin'. My thoughts revert back to Christopher O'Donnell "Holy Rusted Metal Batman" 'Robin' had always been a comical character, and simply he does not fit into the new genre of these films.

Nolan has done a good job to remove any thoughts or ideas from Burton's films and to make this his own. Changing the story lines, changing the characters...and bringing us all into the darkness.

Liked the flim, but it was a let down for me, as I went in thinking I'd love it. The critics and reviewers gave it an "A" across the board basically; I found the movie lacking.

ummm..... are you deliberately trying to have a different point of view just for the sake of being different?...

I will mention that the character of Robin shouldnt be taken as a negative. Bob Kane originally made the character to help the younger readers get a better understanding of Batman. With the more mature tone of BB and TDK. The character could be useful for younger viewers to get a better connection with Batman. However, it's been said that there won't be a Robin in this franchise. This is all Year One material.

This is exactly why I think it can be done. I believe in Nolan. He could make Robin another Batman poser like we saw in TDK but better at it than those bums. Set the movie ten years after the close of this one with Batman weary of running and needing help. Godon's kid is now 20, 21 and more than willing to train under the Batman. Or have him quit the Batman persona altogether untill this new guy shows up. There are plenty of ways you could fit Robin into the darker tone of these movies. He just won't be a young teen.

I'm certain the third movie will be sick regardless of what villains and regardless if whether or not there's a Robin. Moreso than Robin I really wanna see Riddler and Catwoman.

Well, if it's being set 10 years in the future, why not have Batgirl too? Not that I want that, but if Gordon's kids grow up to be Batman's helpers then that would fit in.

Question.

In the scene where Joker tries to kill the mayor. Did Joker shoot his own guy? The guy with Rachel's name.

I actually loved TDK!

Spoiler:
I was actually glad that Rachel got killed off!

yup.

I don't know why but I saw him do it too.

Ok cool, thats what I figured, but I was always trying to see Heath's face. lol

In which way?

It jumped around for me too much. The dialogue wasn't spectacular. Heath as the Joker wasn't the end-all-be-all 99.9% of the people make it out to be. Though his role was very good.

Like I said, I enjoyed the film, it just didn't blow me away. I watched it when I was dead tired and I'll be seeing it again with a friend, I doubt being tired had anything to do with my pov, but maybe I'll appreciate it more the 2nd time around.

Bingo.

I believe there was a hint in the film about "cats". So Catwoman might be the next or one of the next villains.

yeah, when he said"it will do well against cats"

was clearly a reference to Catwoman.

and if it wasn't, it was just bad writing😂

I really don't think she will, she was one of the few good ones in the older batman films, but I think we're all still recovering from halle berry's performance. I'm kinda hoping for the riddler to be the baddie in the next one, not really batman savvy so I don't know a whole lot that he could fight if we're trying to stay realistic, someone like Killer Croc is definitely never getting in a film like this.

The Hush storyline would be good

but I hate the ****ing Riddler😐

He's just someone who I could see them making an interesting story with, bu then again, like I said I'm not all that batman savvy, the extent of my knowledge comes from random comics I've read and a bit of the dark knight series.
