In your opinion, yes. I wasn't debating anything you had said so therefore wasn't arguing the point with a mod. I only said I think Bardock got banned for nothing much really, unless you consider having a differing opinion a bannable offence.

He wasn't banned for having a different opinion. He was banned for arguing with a mod after clearly being told "keep doing this and you will be banned." That 'arguing with the mods' comment was explaining why he was banned, not being aimed at you.
As arguing with a mod IS a bannable offence, and as he was clearly warned, and as he continued on, within the post actually conceeding that it would get him banned, you have absolutely no grounds at all to say it was arrogance or just having a different opinion.
He broke a rule which says you get banned if you break it. Simple as that.

Basically what it comes down to is if you are told by a mod to not do something or are told to stop doing something, arguing about it will not be one of the smartest things you've done.
No he wasn't, that is simply not true; he was arguing with a moderator's decision, and also attacking the moderator.
Again, I will make this plain to everyome- moderator decisions are final, and arguing them or attacking a mod making one is a sure fire way to a ban, as I believe Raz once directly commented. More to the point, he was told to stop, and kept doing it, and then warned to stop, told any more would be a ban, and then still kept doing it, saying in the post it would be his last due to that ban he was going to get. He knew exactly what he was doing and what it would mean.
Treat this as a public service announcement if you want.
Attacking you? Its a debate, you can't get all hyped up and such. Even a Mod can just Ignore what someone says to them 😬 Why not just stop talking and let it be like most members? Instead of "warning" him so many times for debating.
That's just Silly, and Personally I think a Ban for it is a Abuse of Mod Power. You should have sent him a PM about it, not just up and banned him.

It wasn't a debate. I was not taking part in the debate. I was in there making a comment telling people not to make posts that wind other people up. That was the only reason I was in the thread- as a mod making a moderator comment. I was not taking part in the thread itself.
He was not attacking me as part of a debate. He was attacking me in my capacity as a moderator. That gets you a ban.
People really should check their facts.

PM or not PM, he got a final warning. He got several warnings actually. What difference does how they were issued made?
Again, arguing with a moderator or attacking a moderator whilst that mod is doing mod work is a bannable offence. It is no more complicated than that. He got his wanringa and chose to keep on doing it anyway.
