hmm...first of all, Why do you want to give her something? Don't give her something just because. because that might give the impression that you wanna buy her love, imo. Resorting to material means so quickly isn't the most lovable thing to do I'd think...
and I sense that this is a recent occurance. So the best 'present' you both could give each other is try to understand each other better. So...arrange get togethers that consist of more than just making out. 🙂
In reality though what Punkyhermy said was true, if your just starting out do something small and meaningful. Something that took time which means you care and that doesn’t mean shopping for an hour. Listen to the things that she likes or has talked about and use that like an author that she likes or an artist that she admires or something that you created just for her. That you listened and remembered will mean hundreds times more then spending a bunch of money, trust me on this one.
I don't understand why guys think they should buy their girlfriend expensive things. I mean, some girls are just bitchasauruses like that, but when I think of a date or something, I think of just completely leaving all money at home, and just hanging out at a place where you don't need to spend money at all.........like just hanging out by a lake or somewhere outside 🙂

I want to give her something because we're gonna be gone from eachother for a few weeks and I've already agreed with you that jewelry is a bit too early AND dont tell me girls doesnt like succesful guys cuz I am one, I have a summerjob, not too many get those around here AND saving up money to buy something for someone else would motivate me to actually WANTING to work, cuz money itself cant bring happyness only the objects I buy in combination with me and my charm plus my charming looks can bring me that.
AND I know her from before, we're in the same class, she's one of the few people who like me in that class.
AND puppies and/or pets are for later 😉
