Ah, so you’re saying you were being sarcastic on your first statement too, funny, when taking into context the dialog you were having with Mindship, it didn't seem that way. But like Burger King says, "Have it your way." (or is that McDonalds?)

Do we really care about this conflict that much? It's gonna continue long after we're all dead.

Our grandchildren will probably debating on a virtual reality forum whether or not Israel had the right to send in robotic killer chickens after Lebanon or the Palestinians used a 20-foot yield nuclear weapon to blow up a flying car....

It's called debate, I like the sharing of ideas and Xmarksthespot debates well.

I do like the thought of robotic killer chickens though, reminds of something Monty Python would do...

I'm not sure whether to be amused or bemused.

"Yes, clearly those who condemn the current actions of Israel hate Israel. One can't condemn actions that have lead to a large amount of deaths, simply because they believe it wrong. That's absurd. What drives your "Go Israel! Go!" political view one wonders."

"Of course clearly for one to speak ill of Israel's foreign policy, one must hate Israel. I'm a rabid antisemitic. Destroy Israel. Destroy Judaism."

Both statements are made in a similar vein to the same simplistic assertion that to criticize a country's foreign policy or actions one must hate the country and it's people. The first sentence of both paragraphs is essentially the same. Does the removal of the specific denotation of sarcasm now make the latter statement seriousness. 😖

What about this:
Go Pol Pot! I love the Khmer Rouge!

For the record no I don't hate Israel, it's citizens or the Jewish faith. The fact that I actually have to state this is bizarre.

I also doubt you have any real grievance with the Lebanese, but the comment was a relatively flippant generalisation. More rather I think on occasion you too easily blur the line between the ordinary Lebanese and Hezbollah.

Hezbollah kidnapped those Isreal soliders, not to mention after 2 weaks of heavy military incusion into Palestine.

Then, Isreal starts bombing Beruit international aairport. They have Lebonon in a Naval Blockade. They are bombing civilian targets. olmert has threatened to "take the country back 20 years" by destorying all their infrastructure.

Of course, a UN resolution against Isreal was vetoed by the f8ing UNited States of America

Alliance,

Your point is right every person, group or nation has the right to defend themselves, if someone hits you, I could well understand why you would want to blame Isreal of being a terrorist country, but look at it this way. Say a group of primary school kids threw stones at college kids. (sorry I don't know the american equivilant ) now you could well expect the college kids to retaliate, but at what point have they over stepped the mark, and what would be the better lesson for them. would beating those primary kids up and putting them in hospital be an apt punishment for the crime.

Does using force against force actually work, or does it just create more hatred, and thus source more attacks, creating a vicious circle. would it be best to just go up to the kids, take the rocks away, tell them whats wrong, find out why they threw the rocks. and then sort it out.

In my opinion, Israel knows full well, why these people launch rockets at them, there is many things Israel have done in there past, and now there continued over reaction only fuels more hatred towards them, that means more suicide bombers and more rocket attacks, this makes the Israel people fearfull, so they hit back, It will only end in tears if this is allowed to carry on.

At some point if Israel let one stray bomb hit syria, or an aid truck from jordan, others will be more then willing to join in, because of there developed hatred of the jewish state, and of anit western feeling, this will be there chance to exact revenge.

Israel then will look all hurt and astonished, and ask the world why this has happened, when what they need to do, is step back. Stop what there doing, and behave like the responsible adult, not the juvenilt kid, who is stronger then its weaker foe.

You didn't have to say or state anything (you had me at hello), I said "have it your way", I meant it and rabbits are envious of my vision, no blur here.

You really had to mention "Brother Number One"?

Isn't take the rocks away what Israel was trying to do?

I don't think they were rubber bullets but I do know that aside from that one victim they weren't aiming to hit the civilians.
