Also, preseason blows.

Trying to keep up with RB injuries is frustrating as hell. Portis, Westbrook, Davis, etc. Then trying to get through the BS and assess how serious the injury actually is, then determining how much that player needs to drop (or if they need to drop). My RB depth chart for the draft is like playing musical chairs. 😬

Triple Post: Sorry.

Anyway, I'll listen to trade offers. I don't have to sit on the 1st pick, you know, and if properly baited I may be willing to relinquish the spot to someone (don't bother with bogus trades though...I'll consider fair offers if it means I'll have some sweet depth instead of Alexander, but I won't get duped into a dumb trade)

PM me if anyone's interested.

Actually, I might be able to make it sunday after all.

I'm ready to go in glory whooo hooooo....here's to you number three overall, 49ers defense. yes!!!!

#2 was the first position for me... I dispise LJ but how can i not pick him?

Just found out the Steelers/Vikings rebroadcast is Sunday at 5:00. I'm drafting 8, which means I'll be picking back-to-back the whole draft. That may make it easier since my computer and TV are in 2 different rooms. So if one of my picks "times out," you will all know the reason why.

You could still take Tomlinson. Seriously. Rivers has looked good so they won't be able to just focus on stopping LT, and he has the potential to put up #1 stats. He was the consensus first pick last year...he can't have fallen off that much.

My for-money-league's draft went Johnson, LT, Alexander, and any of those 3 are acceptable #1 picks in my opinion. If I were in the 2 spot in the draft, I'd honestly be considering it.

Oh im heavily leaning to LT for sure. If Portis were healthy Id take him at 3 assuming Shaun and LT went 1,2 also

Portis before LJ?? Now you're just hatin' on Larry.

Anyway, I'll bet Smas is happpy at #3...LJ's a huge wildcard and could put up some sick numbers.

I guess I should be happy with the first pick, but since we're starting 9 it almost seems like a late draft slot might be better, since a top 3 pick won't carry me straight to the title with so many others on the roster.

Well, they're is only 8 of us, so I cant think the talent pool with decrease significantly for atleast a few rounds.

True enough. After 16 teams in my other league, this draft will be like candy-shopping. lol

I take back what I said about wanting just 1 minute for each draft pick. I just did a couple mock drafts on ESPN....2 minutes goes by in a hurry when you're trying to keep your info straight. I'm all for 2 minutes. 🙂

LJ had some great games. He has NEVER carried the load an entire season. He lost a GREAT fullback which is a HUGELY underated part of the run game. He lost a GREAT O-lineman, and he lost the guy calling all the plays who designed the system for him to do well in.

On a personal side I dont like him because hes a ***** and doesnt block

So when exactly is the draft?

5:00 PM Eastern.

Meh, they're working on getting LJ to block more (I saw an interview with Herm and he was talking about it). And he's from Penn State so I liked him in college...so it's easy for me to give him the benefit of the doubt (even though I'm still picking Alexander).

Good luck in the draft all. I'm looking forward to it.

The majority of backs in the league dont block that well, or at all.

I always remember that Johnson has never started a game completly for awhile until last year, so Ill give him the benefit of the doubt.

But I agree, Richardson and Roaf could decrease Johnson's numbers, but I dont think it will decrease them enough to warrent somebody else getting picked up first. He will still have the TD's, and unlike Alexander, he will get more recieving yards too.

But overall, he's labelled as number#1 because of the potential of big things.

Alexander is still the #1 on yahoos big board.

And i didnt mean lead block.. RB's dont do a lot of lead blocking, i meant pass blocking.

And yea the Catching thing is a bonus for him (im from seattle is the reason id always give alexander the edge) LT has even better pass catching ability though.

its almost draft timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Woot. 5 minutes left.

I was talking about pass blocking with regards to LJ....hopefully he'll improve (that was what Herm was talking about working on). And yeah, LT is a beast catching passes. If it were a PPR league, he'd have to go #1.

Anyway, it's all moot now...we'll get to see how it plays out with our picks.

Digi get your ass in the draft room!
