you do realize mcgahee is a starting RB and Faulk is and will always be a backup? Faulk has only ever had more than 70 carries twice in 9 years. He has only scored more than 2 TD's once and hes never broken 650 yards in a season.

Just thought I would throw that out there.

I finished giving him advice...I figure he'll find out stuff like that in the first few weeks.

So yeah, forum's right, but my competitive drive kicks in at some point, and I've already doled out a ton of fantasy advice to people I'll be playing in the coming weeks.

I'm not giving advice either. They have to figure it out. I did.

But then again, I just read some fantasy pages and football prediction magazines and boom, I realized RB's go in the first round.

I never played fantasy until last year.

It's the weird nature of dicsussion boards. We help each other because we either want to show we know a lot....or the sense of competition isn't as great because we don't directly know each other and don't have money on it, as most private leagues do.

This is actually only my 3rd year, but anyone can become a legitimate authority on it before too long if they really apply themselves. After this year, I'll have been in 8 leagues, so I've gotten a lot of on-hand experience in a short time, and have also devoured all sorts of things on the subject. Last year wasn't ideal, and I made some definite errors in my drafts. I feel like I'm starting to eliminate those, so if I have a bad season it's simply bad luck instead of bad managing.

Well, I cant say I do well on drafts because well, I've only been in an 8 team league and that really doesnt show how good you can do drafting.

True enough, unless the teams are huge. 12 and 16 team drafts are lots harder. I mismanaged the hell out of my lone 16-team draft.

I feel so neglected, o woe is me. 🙄

just did my big draft today (12 teams) With mostly people I know for reals. I once again had a low ass draft pick (every mock I did this year I had bottom picks too)

I was picking 10th out of the 12.

Here is what I am working with:

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Laurence Maroney
RB: Ronnie Brown
WR: Lee Evans
WR: Deion Branch
RB/WR: Tatum Bell
TE: Greg Olson
K: Josh Brown
DEF: Bears

***BENCH***
QB: Jake Delhomme
QB: Daunte Culpepper
RB: Chester Taylor
RB: Reuben Droughns
WR: Joey Galloway
WR: Jerry Porter
WR: Anthony Gonzales
TE: Daniel Graham
DEF: NY Jets

I am really only holding Delhomme because he has a decent match up for Brady's bye. The same goes for the Jets. I think maybe I should drop Graham.. the best 2 guys to pickup would prolly be Joe Jurevicious or Bryant Johnson. The thing is I dont know what to think about Greg Olsen/Desmond Clark so im not ready to go to just Olson yet. (Desmond is a FA also)

Olsen's a great sleeper. Rex Grossman himself said in an interview they'd be working him into the offense a bunch.

Brady and the Bears will help loads. If you can manage the rest of your team efficiently, they'll win you a lot of games. Otherwise, your team isn't anything special, but not bad either. You'd better hope Ronnie is for real though, because your RB situation is tenuous, at best. I'd also start Galloway over Taco (Tatum) in Week 1...if Kevin Jones is healthy, you can't be sure how many carries he'll get, especially in a Martz offense.

yea i almost took Benson over Brown there... but I feel brown has a bigger upside. Everytime I watch him play I am absolutely amazed. Tatum really depends on if Jones ends up on the pup or not but I picked him up in round 9 or maybe even later so it was worth the risk at that point. I fully expect Chester Taylor to lose the job to Peterson also (peterson was the #1 pick of the 3rd round (ahead of chester) So yea a RB is definitely my goal through some trade talks. I did draft RB/RB but by the time it got to me in round 3 its at like pick 35 and the RB depth is pretty much gone.

Oh also Martz has already said even if Jones gets healthy jones will have to win the job back. I am thinking of trying to deal for Portis though because he got autopicked to a guy who I know doesnt want him.

I guess I just have no faith in the Dolphins offense. I'd have taken Benson in a heartbeat.

Is Brandon Jackson floating around in free agency? He isn't the sleeper he was...even a week ago, so I doubt it. People are starting to hear about him. But he's my unofficial "target" RB in late rounds, and you might still be able to trade some backup RB/WRs for him as well.

nah he went in early/middle rounds.

Damn. Sucks to be me right now. He needs to fall to like the 7th/8th round for me, even though I'm also planning on going RB/RB in my 12-team draft (I have the #4 pick). I wish he could've flown under the radar for another couple weeks.

shut up.....I knew that. 😕

Who's the owner of the L.A. Decepticons? I'm trying to make a trade and I'm not sure who is calling the shots over there in Superficial Valley.

Would anyone like to trade?
