In my own personal rankings, I already have Bush gone, due to the 80+ receptions he's going to get this year.

Who else, Digi?

In terms of pass catching, obviously Westbrook and Bush are near the top. Westbrook will be gone...Bush might be. I got Reggie at 11 in my PPR league, so it's a possibility.

Jackson, Gore and Addai (all gone by 12) all caught a decent #.

...hmm. Maurice Jones-Drew is probably someone you might want to target. He caught 46 passes last year, good for about 8th among RBs, and only started the second half of the season. In a PPR league, he'll probably end up with slightly more value than someone like Maroney. Add that to his goal-line touches, and he's probably a lot closer to a top 10 back than most would think.

Surprisingly, Ladell Betts caught quite a few in limited time as well. Possibly a decent mid-to-late round pickup, with or without Portis on your roster.

#12 is too high for Maiden-Name-Drew, who's doesn't start and regardless of the past, there's no guarantee that Fred Taylor will be taken out of the game in ALL red-zone situations, which would have to be a requirement for a benchwarmer taken at #12.

I am shying away from MJD altogether just because Taylor is there.

Would you grab Manning at 12 if he fell that far?

It depends on how many points you get for your QB. The leagues that I'm in have watered down the QB (and that's fine), giving only like 4 or 5 points per TD and no points for completions....leaving them basically with as much value as your #2 WR.

True, but at least Westbrook won't be available by pick #12. Reggie might not fall that far either.

I don't see a glaring need to trade for anything. Hopefully you have a decent backup RB, and 1-2 backup WRs. Brown's only a situational starter, as are a couple of your receivers.

...it's weird giving advice to people that I'm facing. But I figure this league is a bit different than most in that respect.

Emo's advice might be worth taking, but in standard scoring leagues on yahoo, the Titans were in the top 10 for defenses last year. Depends on the weekly matchup.

Thanks for the advice. I do have a good back up RB and couple good back up WRs.

Lots do, but I wouldn't. It's always a smarter play to take 2 RBs, especially if your league's fantasy IQ is fairly high. The drop-off in RBs is so steep that it's a huge gamble to do that. You can get someone from the Brees/Palmer/Brady/Bulger/McNabb group in Round 3 without sacrificing too much. I'd even throw Kitna and Romo into that group based on numbers from last season, but I'm in the minority with those 2.

As for MJD, 13 TDs in about half a season doesn't lie, starter or not. He'll get at least 50% of the team's running touches this year, and higher than that in the red zone, and Taylor is a perrenial injury risk. My guess is that MJD will be gone by round 3, but I was just throwing out names of RBs who are good in the pass game as well.

MJD was a godsend for me last year. I was totally ****ed with Cadilliac Williams and I got MJD off of waivers and he totally helped me out.

MJD is basically the leading reciever on the Jags, and is good for 10 TD's. He also plays the Colts twice and an small, fast, explosive and hard to take down RB against the Colts totally dominates them. Good choice for 2nd RB.

Dropped Steve Mcnair for Jake Delhomme. Mcnair is too much of an injury risk.

Also dropped Amani Toomer for a decent RB, Jerious Norwood.

My team is looking GOOD.

I agree. One of the yahoo writers was hyping him in PPR leagues too in a column that just came out today. And I've gotten stoned in the past by RBs who don't get goalline touches, so I love them now. It's always a nice insurance policy. Jacobs, Jones-Drew, probably A. Peterson, etc. MJD never seems to fall to me, but I have Jacobs in at least 1 of my leagues so far, and am targeting him in my others at around picks #18-24 depending on my position.

...

Also, glad you're confident Rogue Jedi. Just be careful of too much confidence entering the season...plans have a way of going awry in fantasy football.

I know, I am just saying that I am as comfortable as I can be considering.

I think I strengthened my depth with the two exchanges.

because I think he has great potential.

I was actually thinking about that yesterday. I was pondering starting mcgahee in his place.
