Hell, I might. I'm one of the hopeless ones whose love affair with Brett reaches unsafe levels.
😮
Romo's my other man-crush currently, but he's actually going to be a hot commodity, so I'm not going to be stupid just to get him.
I think early Saturday would work well also.
The past couple of years its only been 6 guys who usually drafted in this league, but with 12, its going to be interesting to see who goes where.
Ive been reading a couple of fantasy mags, and some of them have been saying that drafting a QB, or high WR is the smarter move for people with higher 1st pick because the RB are up in the air.

Depends on what spot you're drafting round 1. But yeah, I won't consider it a reach for a QB/WR in round 1, depending on which slot I'm in and who's available. I'd say the top half of round 1 should still be RBs though. If someone needs a Brady or Moss badly enough to pick him at, say, #4...I'll laugh and happily give it to them.

...'course RB uncertainty means that perhaps they should be at more of a premium. But I'd tend to agree. Brady and Moss will go too early, but they should be going in round 1 in 12-team leagues....at least depending on the scoring format.
I also share more of my opinions here because this league isn't for money. You can bet that the BS-trail would be in full force if someone from my other leagues asked me where I'd take Brady/Moss.
Their point was that the RB class doesnt have alot of must haves after the top 5 RB's, but there is a ton of choices for RB's in the 2nd and 3rd round that will be effective.
While on the other hand, the QB list is very small (Brady, Romo, Manning, Brees) for top choices, but the rest are not 2nd-3rd round value. Same with WR's.
So their idea was that if you have 8 or above in the 1st round, you get Brady or Moss so you have the best at that position and fill the RB slot in the 2nd with a guy like Portis, Lynch or Bush. More effective than getting Portis at 8 just because he is a RB, and then get a lesser WR or QB.
This would only work with 12 man leagues.
I've also bee reading about auction fantasy league. What the hell is that?
I have never been a fan of auction leagues. They are more common with Baseball I think. Basically the one it works is you have a salary cap say $200. You then bid on players. So say LT will be up I can bid $20, someone else can bid $25 etc... So you have to fill out your roster, but within your limit. Obviously top players cost a lot, bad ones or inexperienced ones are gonna come cheaper. It makes it so its not always about the best player, but best value for the "salary."
I'm actually a fan of auctions. Never done one, but anyone with an internet connection can copy/paste an "expert's" rankings and do decently in a standard draft. In-season moves favor experienced owners, but a fair amount of luck is involved.
Auctions, on the other hand, will bury people who don't know how to properly manage a team.
does it matter who he says? All we can do is hope ESPN randomly gives him the 1st pick. Hell, I'd settle for top 5, so long as I'm there too to reap the benefits.
Also, chit, this is just good-natured ribbing. I disagree vehemently, but there's many ways to a championship, so meh. Just didn't want you thinking I was talking too much smack.
