As social beings we can't help to care how we are percieved by others. Some may fret about it more than others, some may go out of their way to change the perception of themselves by others and some may care about it somewhat less then others but I believe, that to a degree, it is only human to care how others perceive you.
In fact, I believe that those who proclaim loudest that they don't care how other's percieve them, in fact, are those that care the most and desire the greatest levels of acceptance.
Anyone care to agree, disagree or comment?

I agree. I wonder what Quiero's opinon of men wearing kilts is?
Nothing at all, homes. It's a traditional cultural form of dress that I don't think looks wierd at all. Just like a Polynesian palea as well as all the skirt-like uniforms worn around the world that GCG mentioned on the previous page.
Remember your "Men in Kilts" thread? I was one of the first posters who agreed with you.

Because pink automatically takes a man over and makes him homosexual, like the Venom symbiote, right?

Now show me where I said or implied "Wearing pink automatically makes a man gay".
I claimed to wear pink ; You say 'puto'.
Puto:
Spanish word for a male prostitute. sometimes it´s offesive for homosexuals.
---
That actually implies that you think that Men who wear Pink are gay.

In slang it can be used to imply someone who's annoying you, kind of like saying "idiot" or "undesirable".
I guarantee you that I wasn't calling you a male prostitute.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think that everyone cares, even if just a little, about what others think of them.
I know I do O.O I'm a very self-conscious person.

This applies to me, yes. But I think there are people out there that actually just don't give a f*ck. We call them "a$$holes". Their world is completely consumed by self-importants. And I believe most of them will be that way until they die. One characteristic of a real, genuine a$$hole is they don't let anything from outside their space sink in.I understand where you're coming from and I think there's a difference between being frightened of what other people think and caring about what others think.
If a person doesn't like me (frankly) they can kiss my ass. I'm not going to let that opinion stop me from being me. But for some reason, I do care. I wonder why. I get a lil sad, but I get over it quickly.
... unless the person that has a poor opinion of me is a real a$$hole. Then they can just pucker up. I guess it really depends on who it's coming from.
I agree with everything you've said here D, you're right. I have proclaimed 'not to give a f.uck', but it's a general statement and one usually used in defence. I'm happy to admit that, on more than one occasion, I've defended myself by laughing off a derogatory comment, but I've also thought about the comment afterwards and had to make myself rise above it. This leads me to believe that I do care what others think, but, as D said, I'm not afraid of it.
Also, can I query as to why quite a few people felt the need to respond to this thread as if defending themselves from what Kharma has said in the initial post? I don't think the comments were directed at anyone in particular and for those of you who responded as if they were, I'm thinking you may have some kind of a complex. You're the perfect examples of those who are afraid of what others think.
I think maybe I'll decline... and I still don't think the entire thread was directed at someone in particular. In fact, Kharma's already stated that the thread was made because someone made him think about the subject, not because he wanted to have a dig at any person singularly.
Edit: I'd like to add that I don't think a man in pink looks at all gay, unless he's trying to of course. It's not the clothing that make a person look gay. I wear a lot of black and dark shades, because I feel comfortable in them and they suit my skin and hair tone, does that make me look masculine??

No. It doesnt mean that. If you wanted, you could have used pendejo which best decribes idiot, altough i am not sure why you are using that language. No porkies please.
If you are a little more assertive and say what you actually mean, I am sure we can reach the conclusion for your 'color-phobic' attitude.
😂 Naked..........No one would ever want to have sex again........haha...what a turn off, OR maybe it would inspire people to get in shape..........and I'm not sittin where anyone else has been...nope.....I'm bringin a clothe....and hand wipies....
No one should send a country northern girl who wears T-shirts, jeans, and boots to Hell. Especially one that likes to get drunk and fire rifles into the night. In my book, it doesn't get any better than that. You may want to mention that in the RF.......woman dressing like men and men dressing like women...god even Jesus wore a dress...
