Halo: Spartan III

*waits for the order to take off* *listents to the radio

*grabs gear and jumps off pelican* *loads the other ship*

*is almost asleep from nothing happening*

Raevynn reached for something at her side, once she found it, she shook it, then bent it, activating the chemicals inside the large glow stick.

An eerie green light washed over the team, illuminating everything they needed to see.

"Ok everyone. Stick together. And someone get this elevator started. Maybe it still works. Either way we've got to go up."

Back at Reach Mendez assembled yet another team of marines to evac the Spartan's wounded. He couldn't help but feel that their first mission was going alot worse than he had hoped for.

Mendez reached for his Radio and keyed into Pvt. Cut. "Alright Pvt. You're clear to move out. The Choragus's co ordinates are being sent to your ship's main computer. Try not to direct any attention towards yourself. Good luck, soldier. Mendez out."

*head pops up and hits the pelicans top* ow *gets the readings* roger that prvt out. *has the pilots fly it* lets move men

Jacob ducked into a corner so he could see everything. The glow stick illuminated everything just enough he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary right now. Someone else would to get the elevator going again he didn't know how to.

*tells the pilot to land below so we cant be seen* ok lets move *jumps out and makes his way up

*reaches the area* *orders marines to stay low* *radios the spartans* were are you inside? *scouting area making sure no coveneat was there*

damn...no respond.... *orders marines to entrance**runs to entrance with them**plants c4 and gets ready to breach* 3 2 1 breach! *they breach the door and start taking out the coveneat* clear *trys to contract them again* were are you spartan team?! we are inside!

"If I had any clue of what I should look for I would go do it but, I don't"

Wise just sat against the elevator door adn put the gun down and waited. His head was completly messed up because of today he almost died twice already and now they are stuck inside an elevator with wounded and aliens that could be cloaked moving around them.

Raevynn lifted the glow stick above her head, looking for some sort of sign. As she scanned the metallic surface she noticed a hing in the smooth surface.

"Look. It's a door, but it might be hard to squeeze through. If one of us could get up there maybe they could restart the lift from the outside. Any volunteers?" She smiled, hoping atleast one of them was a better mechanic than she was.

As she waited for a reply, her radio burped with static. Someone was trying to get ahold of them, but there must have been no signal inside this elevator shaft.

Jacob looked over and saw Wise slope to the floor not good he thought. He was still keeping an eye open for anythin out of the ordinary. He knew whoever went out there they would need some covering fire incase something was waiting.

"Mam I'll volunteer to go up and watch whoever's back is going up there"

*runs through the halls* *hunters pop out* shit *fires at it* *using the scanner to find weak spot**shoots at it* *finds and elevator**knocks on it* any 1 in there?

*bangs on the elevator door again* any one in there?

*plants c4 on the elevator door* 3.2.1 breach it *door explodes* *jumps on the wire and slides down with marines to the elevator car* *opens top and jumps it**turning on night vision to see*

*Parker breathed in heavily and tried to stay calm. He could see his breath through the glow stick, and some other Spartans looked at him in confusion. Had their commander finally lost it? Was the wound getting to his head?*

*Suddenly a Spartan put his arm on Parker's shoulder, and he jumped slightly* "It's ok sir, we're going to get out of here back to Reach safe and sound.."

"Safe?...SAFE??!!! DO I LOOK SAFE TO YOU??!!" *He exploded at the Spartan and showed him his severed arm, which was beginning to rot. He sighed and slid against the wall* "I'm..sorry I shouted at you like that Spartan, I just...I just don't want to die out here, cold and alone without anyone but ourselves. We lost our families when we were taken from Earth about 6 years ago, and I don't want to lose anyone else.."

Raevynn looked down at Parker, her attention now focused on the team itself rather than escaping from this elevator.

"Pull yourself together, Parker! I swear to you that no one else is going to die. I promise." She said, pushing her way over to the wounded Spartan and kneeling down beside him. "If no one else here is willing to start this elevator, then Jacob and I will do it." She added, untieing a bandanna from around her arm. She quickly wrapped it around what was left of Parker's arm and tied it in a tight knot to slow some of the bleeding.

"Give me a boost Jacob, between the two of us we should be able to figure this thing out." She sighed, as Jacob made a step for her out of his hands.

"Try and stay calm everyone, and do what you can from in here to get this piece of junk moving again." She ordered as she stepped up towards the hatch. Using a flash light she smashed the hinges of the small door and bashed it open. Without waisting any time she pulled herself up and out through the small opening, quickly turning around to give Jacob a hand up as well.

damnit wrong elevator *trys to radio team again* "all enemys are dead i repeat they are all dead" *bustes down another elevator door*

Jacob grabs her hand and she pulls him up with his jumping. Man she was strong for such a little girl. Afterwards he reaches back and gets his weapon handed to him. He then ignites a glow stick and places it near the spot. With that taken care of he places the weapon square in his shoulder and looks up ready fir anything that could be coming.
