It was dark out, and the feelings of self despair had magnified.
Where was everyone? Why am I here?
Those questions and about a hundred others needed to be answered.
He was running through a backwater scrub, his good buddy Marshal by his side, their families somewhere ahead of him. The aliens had come out of nowhere and pasted the forest where his homeland, the humble city of Col Latosius, was. They had nailed the surrounding land, glassed it deadly smooth with poison fire, leaving nothing but dry baked, flash vaporized mud for about a radius of three klicks flat.
Where had they come from? What did they want?
He had heard of them, of course. Every kid in his school had. They were the Covenant, who lived for destruction of everything and everyone except for themselves. Humans were no exception, they got mowed down easily, despite fighting back.
Up ahead, screaming. Firing. A plasma blast sizzled by Marshal's head, leaving ionized and crackling air in its wake.
The next shot melted about half of his face off.
Lawrence screamed and fell to his knees beside his friend's body, a loud cry of rage and self pity and fear. Then, heavy footfalls.
A thing stepped out, with an elongated head and a split chin that only served to make it look more fearsome. It wore elaborate, yet deadly looking armor. Before now, Lawrence had never actually seen one, but the stories were true.
The thing cocked its head, as if studying him, then levelled a wicked-looking device that resembled two roach bodies of azure, metallic blue connected together.
It glowed a sickly blue color.
Lawrence, Lawrence, wake up buddy, you're having -
" - a bad dream. Come on, shorty, wake up."
A teammate's voice, a female voice, tugging him from the world of nightmare slumber.
"Hunh?" he said groggily.
She chuckled. "You looked like you weren't having fun."

I can't blame the fellow for venting that way, from what it seems to me, Zeke or whoever this bloke his has been twisting this RP into something it shouldn't be. I vote for a fresh start, in a HOSTED one, but hey, that's only my opinion.]]

I went along with it, but for awhile I had no damn clue what he was talking about. xD
Possibly. We've done so much on this though so for the rest of us, it's be a bit of a waste. BUT, once Zeke's out of the picture, I can almost assure there will be very few muck-ups.]
