"Was that sentence supposed to be laced with sarcasm?" She asked narrowing her eyes, which glinted slightly with the enjoyment of conversation.
"Yea, A-BB-R-A, it means example." She muttered sounding rather disappointed. "Only my parents could think up a unique name with a bland meaning." She joked and scratched her rib. "What about you? Green has to be you're nickname."
"Only on the odd occasion." She said and unfolded her legs, flopping the over the side of the bed, and leaning against the wall.
"Hum James, sounds rather exotic. What does it mean?" She asked sticking her tongue out momentarily and giggled. Abbra glanced up at the ceiling for a moment, trying to be polite as he took off his shirt. It wasn't as if she didn't know guys did that alot, and girls couldn't. But she tried to insure there were no awkward silences.
Originally posted by SpadeKing*Parker made the first move again and charged at Wise, aiming a punch at his face as to make him block it, and aiming a second punch right in the stomach, but harder than the last hit as to knock the wind from him. By doing so it would tire him out faster, but leave an opening point on Wise so he could strike and take him down.*
(you're gonna have to fight blax for that ermm)Wise jumped in and took a few jabs again all of these hits were nothing he wasn't use to, just he was still bruised up from those alien encounters and they hit harder than anything he ever felt. His plan was simple everyone had to be worn down from the earlier fights and rough night so he was gonna take it all the way to the 3rd round and go in full powered to save up some energy for Rae.
"Hey!" Abbra said loudly and pushed him against the wall. She pulled in her legs and hugged her knees to her chest. "Wait." She muttered suddenly, and listened intently to the person in the next room. She couldn't make out most of the muffled noises, but she knew enough to see what was wrong.
"I think..." Abbra trailed off, talking to herself as she lifted herself off the mattress. Her feet barely made a noise each time the tapped the floor as she carefully peered into the next room. Dark, she could just make out the silhouette of a person.
She could hear the whimpers escaping from under the sheets he was wrapped in, and peeled them down to his chest. “Lawrence…” She cooed “Lawrence wake up, you’re having a bad dream.” Abbra rolled her eyes and griped his shoulder, noticing no signs of his awakening from her first attempt. “Come on shorty, wake up!” She coached and shook him.
Abbra wondered if she should have awoken him at first, hoping he wouldn’t be cranky. She only met Lawrence two days ago, and hoped he wouldn’t be mad at her. Chuckling with a nerves she believed her actions were justified. “Looked like you weren’t having fun…”
Wise began getting annoyed with the body punches, the way those were going if he won this fight he wouldnt have a chance with rae in the next fight, so he began going to his Ali strategy back jogging around the ring then he stepped in took two jabs straight to parker's right arm then right eye and the began with 5 hooks knocking his arms from his face making him lose balance as a hard haymaker came in knocking him into the ropes which were the only things keeping him up at the moment wise retreated back planning on this time blocking and dodging all of the punches to get to his next fight.

Out of all people, one of the most attractive Spartan-III's had to catch him being a baby. Not to mention one of the sharpest and toughest. Oh, bloody hell.
"Hunh?" His sleep grunt sounded like some dumb sub-witted beast. Very smooth. She grinned cheekily at him. "Did I interrupt anything good?"
Lawrence lay back, tired. "Not unless having a plasma rifle pointed at your face by a Major Domo Elite counts as fun. I was back home again."
He smile faded. "Oh."
She'd understand, all of the Spartan-III's had taken some time to sit together during those sleepless nights in the barracks like some secretive gathering and share stories of their past. It made him feel like a part of something, a family. Heck, his teammates were family anyways, even bickering and beating each other up like gangly brothers and sisters. The thought of it made him smile inwardly.
Abbra couldn’t help but chuckle, the sound Lawrence made while waking up reminded her of a bear. She liked Lawrence, he reminded her of her old friend Jordan. He even looked a lot like him. Jordan Douglas was his name, Abbra couldn’t help but wonder if he was still alive. The very thought of wondering if anybody she really knew before her new found reality as a Spartan was still alive was painful.
It reminded ones self about how fragile life is, and how little impact we can have on others. It reminds us that sometimes, we are powerless, and we cannot protest, or flee from most situations. It reminds us of how very small we are.
“You could take him.” She joked, although her smile faded as well, remembering her own home. Just for a moment. “Are you sleepy? Me and James…Green we’re just joking around. If you feel up to it then come join us. No plasma guns, promise.” She said and offered a hand to lift him out of bed if he chose to take it.
The UNSC Shatter exited from slipspace only six hundred thousand kilometres distance from Reach in the Eridani system. Her bridge section was entirely destroyed, replaced instead by a several hundred food wide hole, with a depth of equal length. Her aft engine was also missing, and fire spewed from its systems, leaving a near kilometre long trail of flames, energy, and radiation in the ships wake. Debris was flying off of the vessel in all directions, and it was no longer flying through space, but rather tumbling, and drifting at a dangerous angle, which took it directly toward Reach itself.
The hole in reality sent out waves of energy and radiation that near instantly reached the sensors of humanities largest military complex in existence. Down below, on the surface of Reach, military trained personnel reacted to the slipspace entry.
“Sir we have an unidentified slipspace entry six hundred thousand kilometres off the dark side of Reach…I’m getting no recognition codes, no friendly signature signals… I don’t think- Incoming transmission.” From behind the officer, Admiral Curry shadow coasted forward to cover the console.
”Let’s see what you have Lieutenant.”
“Aye aye!” The Officer responded, keying in the transmission.
“-Admiral Richardson of the UNSC Shatter! Rear Admiral Curry, Arthur! If you’re getting this transmission, send a team up here now! The Crusade has uncovered information vital to the Covenant war… We’ve got a chance Goddamnit! I don’t know how much longer this old hunk of junk is going to stay in one piece… Do something fast. I’m setting this message to repeat for-“
“Admiral get down! 023 cover the doorway! 201, 172, get the Admiral to safety, evacuate now! The rest of you, with me! We’re retrieving the Key. What is 010's status?” A second voice cut in from the background, possesing an aura of power and command.
"Chief sir, I think we lost him. He's been com silent for over ten minutes." Someone replied, nervousness edging it's way into the words.
"Relax." A third, distantly familir, presence finally cut in. It was cold, void of all emotion, but it held complete and total confidence. "We still have a job to do."
"Negative on the loss Chief..."
“Sir, we’ve lost the transmission, and judging by what my readings how me, that ship is going to blow within ten minutes at the most… We don’t have time to send anyone up.”
“Send the fleet then… Destroy the Shatter’s communication systems. I heard plasma fire, and that means Covenant. We cant let the position of Reach leak out.

He knew that she could probably dislocate his arm if she really wanted to. After bioaugmentations she'd be able to rip his arm out of its socket.
Lawrence was very glad that Abbra and he were on the same team.
"Did I miss the fights today?" he asked thoughtfully.
"Yep." she said cheerfully.
Lawrence cursed. "Sorry I missed it."

Then with amazing speed he charged again at Wise and sent a series of punches with both hands all over his body. He could feel the excitement, the adrenaline rushing through his veins as each punch hit Wise. Then, it all happened so fast it looked like a blurr to the crowd, but Parker hit Wise with a punch that sent a sickening crack through the air. Something broke.*
Wise stumbled back and hit the floor and slowly got right back up holding his jaw. a bone fragment had broekn off somewhere in his jaw and apparently to his facial expression he was taking kindly to it this wasn't the first time he had something broekn on him but, the first time he has ever been knocked down period. Wise walked back to his corner to assure that he was alright and no dizzyness and being the spartan that he was he quickly charged in started throwing the hardest blows he has ever thrown even though they were harming him probably as much as it harmed parker whenever it came to sports he would go all out to take a win.
Abbra smiled, "Good, more the merrier." She said and placed a hand on his back as the two returned to Green's room. "I think they're still going at it. Damn competitive they are. Especially some of the guys, I think Parker has a big ego." She joked in little more than a whisper before taking a running jump at the foot of Green's bed. Lacking grace and poise she hit her head against the wall, and her shin against the post of the bed. Moaning at her own stupidity, she examined her right leg and feeling self pity. Now, both her legs ached.
"Brought...Company." She snarled trough clenched teeth as she rolled over in a ball, squeezing her leg. Her head did not seem to hurt compared to her limb. Though the dull, sickening pains of an oncoming migraine became implanted in her sub conscience, waiting until her leg would lull itself into a dull pain.
Originally posted by SpadeKing*Parker knew these punches weren't blockable, so he brought his left, metal arm up and absorbed each blow. It hurt him though, as each hit sent a shockwave through his arm, making it go numb. The result would also make Wise's knuckles bleed, but it made Parker go down on one knee as the result of the blows. Parker backed up into his corner and took a few deep breaths, waving his arm around so he could get some life back into it. Once he did he jumped back in and wiped the sweat from his brow, aiming a few punches at Wise's stomach as he made him back up against the ropes so he could deliver the final punch.*
