Well I dont know. Perhaps it derives from a self critical assesment by the US nation itself or could have originated by the jelousy other nations share against the US. Perhaps people see the US as a potential country that comandeers all other nations of the earth (they already are), therfore thy find it apalling that such a country with so much Intelligence, Achievemnts, Infrastracture, Education etc etc etc,.....still has 'dumb' people in it.

Or perhaps anti-US policy people find some sort of comfort and/or satisfaction in dissing the Americans in the US. Why ? I dont know.

There must be a reason as to why the ignorance is amplified when it comes to looking and criticising the US.

There is nothing you can do. It's impossible to educate the entire population of a country when the media pretends to represent the diverse ideas of this nations ability to exercise free speech. No, it's actually wrong...been there...met smart US citizens.-..met stupid USers (god, there should be a decent name for you ****ers)...met a lot of average ones. It'S just not true. It is a stupid stereotype. Although you make me believe that there is at least one more.

That in and of itself tends to show a bit of ignorance. And it kind of shows how you've missed the point of the thread. You blame the American citizens for the actions of the current administration that runs the country. How personally responsible are you for the actions of the leaders of your country? As Roosevelt said, "the buck stops here" referring to his role as President. While your view seems to be that the buck stops on the doorstep of every American citizen.
