And Cap's consistently taken on guys that are on Namor's level. The Executioner, Iron Man, Namor, these are all guys who cap has a long history of making work for their win. You wanna talk about Thor and Surfer, I'll bring up Hulk and Absorbing Man. Namor's feats ARE more impressive, I won't deny it. But Cap's feats stack up to Namor's in the same way that Cap stacks up to Namor when they square off, Namors got a definite edge but Cap makes him work for it.

Yeah.... that was before Cap was in the Invaders before he was ever frozen, that means that he had less than two years experience as Cap when he couldn't hurt Namor with a shield throw. Cap's evolved quite a bit as a character since then.
