Is Heaven Hard To Get Into?

Started by ChakraStrings8 pages

Yeah, c'mon, no point in bashing. And Shake, I understand what you're getting at... I was thinking of reading over some sections in the Bible... you know, like really read it. But, if what the Bible tells us about a Paradise... uhh, I don't know what to believe anymore...

Thats a perfectly acceptabel position. Lots of people don't know what to believe.

This is all so new to me. I mean, before I only saw things from my own perspective... and now all these others... blowup

CONFUSION.

Patience.

Evangelical Heaven, Muslim Heaven, Jewish Heaven, Pentecostal Heaven, and most of the Heavens that exist in each religion, I have no desire to attain.

Is there an atheist heaven....oh thats right....its not a religoin. I guess we'll claim earth.

You can't build an army because you can't get the tax write off that you need. Organized religions rock. 😂

You'd be surprised....

Atheists never agree on anything except that there is no God, and half you army will be smoking pot. 😛

Hey. I'm not the buddhist now.

I'm not rastafarian either.

There is no room for drugs in my army. Facism rocks!

I win. 😆

If you ask me all you have to do is be a good person and be selfless and help others when you can.

You dont have to be a saint or even believe in a certain religion, as long as you are a good person thats all that truely matters.

Thats why I think people have been corrupted by religion, because they think that doing this and that is what god wants, but what god really wants is for people to not be corrupted by evil.

Its not about who's relgion is right or not, its about good to your fellow man and having morals and being selfless

A myth that I have allowed to persist until I am ready.

👆 This is a good view imo.

Individuals' actions are a good measure whether a person is good or not, instead of making judgements based on a label.

Intresting. That does make a lot of sense as well, I do agree with you on that.

Unless of course there is a science and methodology to it. Perhaps being good is the point, but what if prescribed methods produce maximal good while other methods produce a minimal good. Which would be the better path? It is all well and good to be good, but if you are not trying to maximize your effectiveness, are you really being good? Are you still a good person if you do not care enough to attempt to maximize the good you do?

That is difficult because it requires that people look beyond them selves and truly see what others are doing. It is easier to just make judgment based on superficial labels.

I agree with that, and it is the trouble I have with certain other views on this board. The concept that a person labelled "saved" or "born again" or "Christian" is good, regardless of their actions in life.

I believe a person should be more defined by their intentions and acts, rather then what they claim to be.
