Jack and Liz vs. Will and Liz

And lovethemtigers..every time I watched that i thought that he ran round and then we dont actually see where he goes and then I thought it was obvious thathe was in front of it whilst it was settling...oh well maybe I was seeing things..I thought it was meant to be obvious that he was actually hiding in front of it as it settled..

So it pointed in what direction as he emerged? Was it away from him?

and I agree with you on the vexed thing and how he cant help but flirt..it wasnt really all flirting though..he was being really respectable when it came to her..

I don't see how people get that the compass points to Jack cuz she wants to find Will...that simply makes no sense...Jack has just told her that the compass points to the thing you want most in this world..and then on 3 separate occasions...it clearly points to Jack and Liz gets frustrated with this...because she is in denial of her feelings...but not really cuz look how she is daydreaming about Jack after the Persuade Me conversation....and as Lovelyone said...the writers even say that the compass points to Jack because she wants Jack...THE COMPASS POINTS TO JACK AND THE COMPASS POINTS TO THE THING YOU WANT MOST IN THIS WORLD... Tell your friends that...it depends on your age....not saying that if you are young you aren't smart...but this movie is a really adult movie, with adult connotations and underlying meanings...

Yeh its like it settled where he was hiding in front of it..when i first saw that i thought OMG its pointing at him?

you just aren't meant to think that because his head was below it..but if he was hiding in FRONT of it then it was probably pointing at him..it points atthe location of what you want most..it doesnt have to mean that the body is physically in front of it..it can be below it but in front of it if I'm making sense..

and yeh she wanted to you know what his brains out when it pointed at him 😂

Yes...he takes off running and then when he pops up on the other side..it is still pointing toward the right side of her and he is on her left....but that doens't mean it didn't point to him..he just move so fast I think it settled on where he was and then suddenly he pops up on the other side of her...but of course at this point it is early...so it's possible it was pointing in the direction of the chest...cuz they do make it to the island...but on the next two occasions...there is no doubt that the compass points to Jack...the camera shots lets us know that this is obvious...and her reactions....

I'm 20 and my friends are in the same age....but maybe they don't understand the Liz/Jack thing from the beginning. One of them said: Why does she now want Jack, their were no hints in part 1 and I sat there thinking: WHAT????????????????????????? There were so many!! (maybe it's because I've seen the movie 100 times or so)

Okay, cuz some of the people that type on here are under 16 - yeah, how can they totally ignore all the clues...even in Movie 1 there are some...too bad Disney deleted the Peas in A Pod scene...then there would be no doubts in peoples minds...cuz that scene right there pretty much explains it....

She even found the crew of Davy Jones terrifying....I mean: no comment on that...A girl it that age!!

Yes, I think the more you watch something the more clues and underlying meanings are picked up....these are things the writers have put in..they know what it all means...but does the audience that's only seen it a few times....so...but I'm confident that the things I picked up on in POTC 1 that suggest there could be something between Jack and Liz are very real...

i cant wait to see what happens in 3!!!!

we might learn what Jack was running away from in life when he's sitting in his purgatory..its his time to reflect and overcome it and become who he always was..a very good and brave man (mufasa appears to simby) I love the lionking 😂

he may actually take it a step too far me thinks..He's one of those quiet types who are usually quite scary and horrible deep down..and when it gets the chance to come up..they often find it hard to stop.

He actually has shown quite a scary side to him when he's thinking selfishly.

especially in movie 1.

and towards the end of movie 2.

"W" well...he's just Bloody Stupid.....he always screws up Jack's well-intended plans....he should just try to trust Jack....I think he deserves everything he gets for hitting Jack over the head with the paddle in pOTC 1.....that was just plain mean, dirty and stupid....however, he did redeem himself at the end when he helped Jack escape...now I liked that part about him...but then he makes a deal with Beckett to bring back Jack and the compass....so, Jack had every right to send Will over to the Flying Dutchman....stupid, bloody Will....ooopss. didn't mean to say his name...yikes.....I didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings....sorry.

I agree with you!! and because he was thinking selfishly there had Barbossa intended to cut her throat he would have and he would have been too late ..which makes me think will is very capable of making a BIG slip up later on if he does something silly like that again..

Also I'm going to say something funny..The compass has been pointing at Jack on the beach.and we all know she wants you know what from him..she says "it doesn't show you what you want most" and then Jack says "yes it does..you're sitting on it"

she then says "beg your pardon!!??"

she must have thought for a second Jack meant what she was thinking of😂

hahaha yeah totally- she thought Jack was leaving the inuendos behind and coming out with his attraction to her---

but HOW did Jack know the chest was there?!?!?! it ought to have been pointing to lizzie for him, right?
