interesting posting going on here. Jack and Liz are awesome together. Were you guys like me, everytime they were in a scene together you would get excited and be like "I wonder what's going to happen'? Even in Pirates 1 - when he rescues her from the water - I was so into that scene especially when they were face to face. I was sure they were meant to be a couple. ...then, as the movie unfolded I saw I was wrong - I still thought there was a chance on the beach scene "Why is the rum gone?" But because the movie was so great and Jack is so great to look at and watch in action, i was okay with the Will/Liz pairing...but left wanting....So, POTC 2 comes along, and I leave the theatre, like "OMG, I can't believe that they actually did it (meaning having something develop romantically between jack and Liz)...cause we all know that the kiss at the end was way hotter than any kiss she ever shared with Will..the entire POTC 2 movie I was all giddy just like LIz each time she and Jack shared a scene....and why? because they have chemistry...
This isn't your typical Disney Movie, it's been rated PG13 - so who knows....I think the can still have a feel good ending even if Will doesn't end up with Liz - cuz as it's been pointed out - Luke Skywalker never got a girl, and he was initially interested in Princess Leiha till he discovered she was his sister and Star Wars ended Happy.
Aw, does no one care what happens to Will? I didn't feel much at the end of Black Pearl when Will and Liz kissed, but I was getting hot just watching Jack and Liz, and they do have a trust and friendship and sort of understanding between them. They remind me of Rhett and Scarlett to be honest. But what about Will, the guy that would have given his life for her, that turned pirate for her, that hunted down Jack for her? And when they see each other on the beach, sorry, but I think they honestly are happy to see each other and the looks in their eyes show nothing but relief, like their world is back to normal. But I do find Jack/Liz irresistable. But then Will needs a beautiful, strong, loving woman too. Maybe in the next one, he'll find one and then we can all be happy, because I love Jack/Liz, but can't stand to see Will become the next Davy Jones.
i'm rooting for jack and liz they suit each other way better. then again Jack loves anything in a skirt. Omg! if disney leave it as Will and Liz they will totally ruin the film, i mean the whole 2nd film was pratically devoted to the whole Jack/Liz relationship. The scenes between those two make the film funny, i mean the persuade me, and it should be a dress or nothing i happen to have no dress in my cabin.

Aw! i know i feel so sorry for Will but he doesn't have the same chemistry as Jack and Liz. Will fell in love with Port Royal Liz, as we know from the first film she has always loved pirates.
Yeah, but I think the reason Will fell in love with her in the first place is because he knew she was a clever, resourceful, spirited young woman in addition to just being beautiful. He might want a more conventional life with her than Jack would, but I don't think he would try to tie her down or anything. Other than "guard the chest" he's never really told her what to do, and let's face it, guarding the chest was pretty important.
I prefer Jack/Liz myself just because they seem more alike than they realize, but I'll only be happy about that if Will meets someone else who will make him happy. He's a good guy, and even though he may seem boring, that's just because he's standing next to Jack. But he is willing to go pirate at times and is quick on his feet. He's been through a lot and deserves someone to love him. I don't want him to turn out like Davy Jones, and I don't understand what the point of the first movie was if he's just going to end up alone.
lol, they are the cleaner pairing. But I remember the first time I saw the first movie and thought it was kind of neat that Jack didn't steal her away from Will. I thought it was refreshing they could have the kind of understanding and admiration for each other and be nothing else. But I also thought she looked really stiff when Will kissed her and I just thought it was the dress. Liz isn't really a big fan of London fashion.
But I have to say, I like the Jack/Liz thing on the condition Will finds his happiness. They have formed a trust and respect and seem to already be friends, which is very good and implies this is more than just physical attraction. Then they're given some time to bond. And what's interesting is that when you save someone's life, you're bound to them, and all three have been saved and have saved the others by now.

Will and Liz both come between Jack and the guards
Jack comes back during the Kraacken scene and pretty much saves everyone
Fate bound the three forever, whether or not any of them end up together. I can see all three of them going their separate ways at the end of the third movie, only to know they'll all meet up again someday.
