That sounds too exausting for my video gaming. Seriously. I usually play video games when I'm falling asleep, and doing physical actions while playing video games, rather than just sitting still doesn't tickle my fancy.

i think its gonna be pretty good. but u dont always have to play like that.

[B]Well there's a reason for that. Nintendo was making the playstation with sony originally, but then Nintendo dropped the idea. They thought they wouldn't get as many sales without the nintendo name. However, dropping the playstation was a big mistake for nintendo.

NO IT WASN'T!
If Nintendo had stayed with Sony, we probably wouldn't have Mario or Zelda or Donkey Kong. I think it was a smart move, Sony was takikng most of the credit.

Yes it was a mistake. The playstation sold well, and gave them enough cash to make the PS2 severely out-do the gamecube. Then X-box game along with it's computery goodness, and Nintendo is currently at the end of the race going into the third generation. It was a mistake.

and no need to yell. You're sounding like a fanboy.

always have to play with the controller movieng thing, or with the "me sitting around half-asleep"

Because I'm not gonna stop the latter. I preform best when half asleep, based on the fact that I don't have to move anything other that my fingers.

If nintendo hadnt have left sony, why wouldnt they have been able to have mario, zelda, and donkey kong?

The only reason that the Sony and Xbox make more money is because of those adults that dont have lives and live in there mom's basements. Nintendo is made for kids, and kids don't have much money, even tohugh nintendo is the cheapest to buy.

Nintendo may be at the end right now, but that's because most people looked at GC games like SSBM and Luigi's Mansion and just dismissed the system as being too kiddy. However, just because something is simple and fun does not mean it's childish.

However, with the next-gen systems, I think that Nintendo is going to pull back into the lead. The system's going to be very cheap and has a lot of popular franchises. 360 has a fanbase, but it's still quite expensive, and forget the PS3 - you'd have to be insane to pay $600-700 for a system and $80 for a game. I doubt anyone but the hardcore Sony fans will go for it.

All game systems are marketed primarily at children, actually.

Dude, sony was with nintendo. Nintendo was wearing the pants, not sony. Meaning they could've made those games (which they had before the N64 or playstation were made by the way) for the "Nintendo Playstation"

because sony wanted to make games intended for teens and adults. nintendo always wanted to be for children, it was probably more about the customers satisfaction then the money.

500-600 dollars and 60 for a game.

DUde, you realize that they made Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong before Sony wanted to make the Playstation under the Nintendo name, right?

My best gaming usually takes place late at night when ive awaken and cant go back to sleep. And my dad hates it, becuase he knows that i'm gonna be playing it in my dorm room too.

True,

I've always seen it as more for the teenage range. 😉

You mean "before they dismissed Sony" right? because that's what happened. And what does that have to do with them being "unable to make Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong"

And Playstation had several kiddy games. Crash Bandicoot, Spryo, something else. So Playstation was interested in all gamers.....back then at least.

You're "Rich", so that sounds like spare change to you. A majority of the Gaming Population doesn't have Money growing out of their wallets, and grimace at high Prices, good system or not.

No no no. Nintendo games are for the most part designed to be simple and fun, but that does NOT mean they are only for kids. And they do have a good number of games that are more adult.

That is still FAR too expensive. No casual gamer will pay that.

Very valid point, I happen to be one those unfortunate grimacing individuals lol.

True, I still recall Resident Evil 4 being released on the GC first way back.

Ditto.

I'll be scraping all my resources together to afford a Wii once it comes out. No way in hell could I afford to blow $600 on a system and then a handful of games at $60-70 a pop.

Then again I'm a college student who, if I want something, pays for it myself.

Yeah, they have adult games. Nothing I can think of but....

I wonder why everyone I talk to outside of the internet is going to buy the PS3. Regardless of their money situations or additude towards gaming. But whatever. Internet people are smarter anyways.
