Let's get back to the point; I said it's not a necessity to KMC as a whole, just to those who like the forum, obviously. You got yourself confused and now you're backpedalling. My whole point was; No, don't get rid of it, but if Raz chose to then KMC could continue functioning easily and without notice. Because? You guessed it, the OTF isn't a necessity.
Do you grasp that? It's not a debate about what forum we prefer, it's a debate about "Is the OTF a necessity?". Answer: No, fact. Why? Because KMC would not crumble should it be removed, it would not demean the success of elsewhere parts of this site.

Nearly every forum I've been to has some form of Off Topic forum, because eventually members do make threads that might have a purpose, but not in any particular forum. What about all those threads in the GDF that get moved here? They have some form of point, because they dont get closed, but where else would they go if there wasnt an OTF?

There is absolutely no need to get rid of the GDF, it attracts stupid members as well as smart ones, but not even the GDF stupid members are in the same level as the stupid members in the OTF. And I hardly think "boring" is a good enough reason to delete a whole forum.

Who says they have to go anywhere besides the trash can? If they are threads without a point or purpose, they can be either deleted or left to fade into nothingness.

Well I doubt they post in other forums with 'lol look what i bought today' or 'what is your favourite colour?'. Half the people in here are young teens, cant expect most of them to give a crap about the latest Bush conspiracy.
I know there isnt, and I wouldnt bother suggesting to get rid of it, I was being a smartass. I dont frequent the GDF, you dont frequent the OTF, so each of the members in those forums cant possibly annoy either of us if we dont even see them.

Precisely, in here. In the OTF, who are the more valuable members? Those who spend their KMC time in the OTF e-touching or those who spend it across various forums discussing and contributing to, various issues?
