Well, they made certain creative decisions when making the film which did a lot to make it a blockbuster but did little for the intellectual side of things.

To kiss Gundark, now that would be amazing, I figure this as I've seen what she looks like, I think the general term is 'woohoo' as to the books I think my favorite was Sphere, and quite enjoyed the movie even though it got ripped by the critics...

My favorite was Timeline. I didn't like Sphere as much as the others.
Congo was good. I loved the parts with Amy the talking gorilla.
