I'm not sure how serious people are being, or if I should be serious. Or ironic, sarcastic or cynical. To be on the safe side I'll go serious to begin with: sexual orientation is not dependant on being confirmed or denied by sexual intercourse - the scenario given is pretty much 100%. There is no doubt given in the scenario that he is bi or straight.

I mean, if he got scared and tried out first with a women, he'd still be gay despite his first sexual encounter being with the opposite sex (or perhaps bisexual, but if his thoughts and feelings are still towards men, well...)

Perhaps my powers of observation are deceiving me, but this question was directed specifically at those who believe that homosexuality is a choice. The amount of people who I know believe that homosexuality is not a choice but genetic answering the question confuses me greatly.
