He didn't specify a version. You all assumed what would help your case the best. And as of 2006, you'd of course be correct. But when he bumps a thread now, knowing there is a more up-to-date version out there...
If "Southern Rebel" comes back and specifically says, "Hey Enyalus, I meant for this to still be, even now, COIE AM," then I'd be like, "Oh. Well. AM solos." And be done with it.

Um, no I assumed that threadstarter was using COIE AM because that was the AM at the time. Everyone else on this thread who posted a response assumed the same thing since ya know, Sinestro Corps didn't exist at the time and we can't see the future...
I posted a response to this thread years ago.
If I were to create a Rogue vs. Thing thread in 2006, the majority would say Rogue would win because she still had her Sunfire/Ms Marvel powers. If someone were to bump the thread, Rogue would still win because that was the original premise of the thread even if Rogue is currently powerless....

I understand what you're saying. Me personally? I wouldn't do it that way. If it was bumped, I'd argue who would win now, unless otherwise specified.
If that's some unwritten rule, though, I clearly didn't know about it. 😛
