Link can surround himself with a wall of fire which only expands and expands and expands...
Link could put on the stone mask and become invisible, so there is no way for Ryu to find him....
Or he just puts on any of those magics, then fights Ryu and kills him...

There you have some of the reasons why he can win...

And being a son of someone means nothing. The son of Bruce Lee was not near as good a martial artist as Bruce was...

And Himo, did you just not get the point, or is that a joke? The debate was that Shin called him, "just a midget", which he's not. He MIGHT be short, but you know damn well he is not "just a midget"...
