Does EVERYTHING have an opposite?

Started by Evil Dead19 pages

Shaky already covered the laws of motion....which apply to forces...

LOL

Of course there are "Polar opposites".........And even with Asexual organisms............there IS STILL AN OPPOSITE within there/that body.

What the hell...There is "Cause and Effect"..............These are opposites.............It's in science.........it's in frickin everything........cycles...............

*Goes to Walmart*

cause and affect are not oposites. I strike a match (cause).....the friction causes the match head to catch fire (affect). A match head catching fire is not the opposite of a match being struck.

Whats the opposite of humans?

Non humans.

OK just for fun........What doesn't have an opposite?

That does not exist. Fact is there is no opposite of a Dog.

And you are not.....me.

Am i your opposite?

Is opposite only a label?? What is a true opposite as compared to what we call true opposites?...

...what the hell are you talking about. The major problem we have here is that you don't know how opposites are defined. take a Dictionary and save us some time.

No

It works for me............ 🙄

Certain abstracts supposedly don't have opposites. But don't quote me on that because it is a sound bite from a lecture I wasn't meant to be in, and I didn't actually know what it meant.

Abstract whats I don't know.

That is an interesting way to think ! The opposite of a "dog" is a "non-dog". In one sense they are opposites, depends on how you see the question.

I think the problem is in the definition of opposite, there are many ways to understand what it is.
