I am personally hoping it will be more in the spirit of the OT, and maybe even surpass them in the years to come. So when people look back at Star Wars, it won't just be the original series they fondly remember!

The characterisations of Anakin, Obi Wan and Padme towards the end of AOTC is what made it feel like the Star Wars I grew up with. That is when the film felt like something that could have been done back then.

Natalie Portman is undoubtedly the best and most popular character of the prequel series. She has caught the eyes of countless guys and casting directors. She will go far, no doubt about it.

I think Padme takes Leia to Aldaraan and leaves Luke with Owen Lars, and she dies sometime between episode III and IV.

Good man; many agree. Except that it may be Obi-Wan she leaves Luke with who in turn gives him to Owen. Then again, Owen knows Padme but not Obi-Wan.

That would be so sad...to have to give up your child just to protect him.

Yeah it would be awful.

But knowing that your child was safe would help to alleviate any pain and sadness, the safety of the child would be far more important than your own sadness.

Which is, one imagines, why she did it.
