Indeed, I considered going on to do the next two units (C and D) which would have been more language based as well as working more with ancient, unaltered texts, but necessity won out (since technically beyond credit they weren't contributing much to my other studies.) Maybe one day in the future I will return and do some more.

The Bible is filled with numerous contradictions and inconsistancies, and is proof of nothing. ❌

That's bullshit, ey. You can choose to love whatever. I choose to love my cars; nothing makes me.

How could God send a good person to Hell? How could a loving God condemn and consign a person who has a reputation for being good in so many people’s eyes to a place of torment? Why would God do such a thing?

"For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love which you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do."

There are plenty of "good" but "unsaved" people in Hell. Study the Bible and understand that we are not saved from sin's consequence by our good moral lives no matter how commendable. If we were then Jesus died in vain.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE IN
CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.

John 10:9
I AM THE DOOR. IF ANYONE ENTERS BY ME, HE WILL BE SAVED, and will
go in and out and find pasture.

John 14:6
JESUS SAID TO HIM, "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONECOMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME."

1 Peter 1:18-19
18KNOWING THAT YOU WERE NOT REDEEMED WITH CORRUPTIBLE THINGS, LIKE SILVER OR GOLD, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Romans 3:23-24
24 BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION
THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS,

1. We are saved and declared to be righteous by God's grace, good-will, loving-kindness, favor, and undeserved mercy. We accept God's mercy and forgiveness through placing our faith, trust, and confidence for salvation in Jesus Christ.

2. Salvation does not come by our own effort, works of righteousness, or good deeds no matter how good they are. We can never be good enough to go into God's holy presence in Heaven. His standards are too high. It was according to His mercy that He made a way for us to be saved from the eternal consequence of our sins. God made a way for us to be declared righteous, but only by His grace, and undeserved mercy.

3. God's mercy for us is so abundant that HE GIVES US THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. He knows that we could never earn our salvation fromsin. Through the sinless, righteous act of Jesus Christ dying for our sins we can all receive the FREE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, SALVATION, AND EVERLASTING LIFE, and then be declared justified or righteous by God. The word "justify" means to declare to be righteous. Only God can declare someone to be righteous.

4. You cannot earn God's gifts of righteousness, salvation, and eternal (or everlasting life). They are gifts. A gift must be accepted freely from the person giving the gift to you. You accept the gifts of righteousness, salvation, and eternal life (or everlasting life) by faith (or trust) in the Lord Jesus Christ. You must truly trust in, adhere to, cling to, and depend on Jesus Christ for salvation from sin. Not your good conduct, church attendance, water baptism, parents' faith, priest, bishop, or any other thing or person.

5. Jesus is the Door and Way to God, who is in Heaven. .

6. Jesus is the Truth; therefore all other ways to God are false. Jesus is the Life. Only Jesus Christ has the power to give everlasting life and to raise people from the dead. We must go through Jesus Christ in order to get to God. There is no other way for us to get to God.

7. We were not redeemed with corruptible things or things that perish like silver and gold. The word redeem means to buy back, repurchase, to get or win back, to free from captivity by payment of a ransom, to release from blame or debt, clear, to free from the consequences of sin, to atone for, or expiate. Just as a hostage is set free on the payment of a ransom. Christ shed His precious holy blood to redeem all people from the consequence of sin (which is separation from the life God in the lake of fire and physical death forever).

8 When we trust in Jesus and call on Him for salvation, God justifies us. The word "justify" means to declare to be righteous. God has made way for all people to be declared righteous or good enough to go to Heaven. But God declares us righteous freely by His grace and undeserved mercy, not on the basis of our own good works, effort, merit, or worthiness. Redemption from sin is made available only through Christ Jesus.

"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.
And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done."
Revelation 20:12-13

* the judgment is according to what the person had done... it would be absurd to conclude that there are good people who will be sent to hell, God is justice, ya know... 😉

Did you read my post in its entirety? That particular judgment is for unbelievers. They will will be judged and held accountable for every sin that they have ever thought, spoken, and committed. They must pay for their sins because they died in their sins. They have rejected the Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice and payment of their sins. Therefore, they will must pay for their sins.

* we cannot say whether a person is going to heaven or hell, but one thing is for sure, God will never send a good person to hell...

* salvation is not only by faith, my friend... that's why Saint Peter said to add these to your faith...

"But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
To knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
To godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love
.
For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
II Peter 1:5-8

* the goodness and the evilness of a person is NOT something we should tackle because it is upon God's eyes to see who's good and who's evil...

* but my point is, if a person is good in the eyes of God, then that person is NOT going to hell... 😉

Here is more proof as revealed in the Bible.

Salvation is by God's mercy through faith in Jesus Christ

Romans 5:1
1 THEREFORE, HAVING BEEN JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, WE HAVE PEACE
WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST,

Romans 3:23-24
24 BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS,

1 Peter 1:18-19
"KNOWING THAT YOU WERE NOT REDEEMED WITH CORRUPTIBLE THINGS, LIKE SILVER OR GOLD, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 BUT WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Philippians 3:9
9 and be found in Him, NOT HAVING MY OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is from the law, BUT THAT WHICH IS THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS FROM GOD BY FAITH;

1. We are declared righteous by faith in Jesus Christ, and we have peace with God through Jesus Christ.

2. When we trust in Jesus and call on Him for salvation, God justifies us.

3. We were not redeemed with corruptible things or things that perish like silver and gold. The word redeem means to buy back, repurchase, to get or win back, to free from captivity by payment of a ransom, to release from blame or debt to clear, to free from the consequences of sin, to atone for, or expiate. Just as a hostage is set free on the payment of a ransom. Christ shed His precious holy blood to set all people from the consequence of sin (which is separation from the life of God in the lake of fire and physical death forever), by the ransom or payment of Himself.

4. We are not saved by our own righteousness, but the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ. The righteousness which is from God by faith. All we have to do to become righteous is place our faith, trust, and confidence in Christ.

God the Father in Heaven wants all people, everyone, to be saved

John 3:16
For GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

John 12:49-50
49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 AND I KNOW THAT HIS COMMAND IS EVERLASTING LIFE. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told me, so I speak."

John 6:40
AND THIS IS THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME, THAT EVERYONE WHO SEES THE SON AND BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE; and I will raise him up at the last day."

2 Peter 3:9, "THELORD IS not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE."

Here is the rest of my proof as based on the Bible.

1 Timothy 2:3-4
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of GOD OUR SAVIOR, WHO DESIRES ALL MEN TO BE SAVED AND TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH.

Romans 5:8
BUT GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT WHILE
WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.

1 John 3:23
AND THIS IS HIS COMMANDMENT: THAT WE SHOULD BELIEVE ON THE NAME OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AS HE GAVE US COMMANDMENT.

1. God loves the world so much that He made a way for us to escape Hell when we die. Don't ignore God's love for you. Don't reject the only way of salvation.

2. God sent His Son Jesus to the world with a command: that we (the world) should exercise faith in Jesus Christ for salvation from sin and separation from God in Hell.

3. God's will is that we believe in Jesus Christ so that we can have everlasting life. That was His whole purpose for sending Jesus to Earth. To die for our sins, and rise from the dead so that we could have everlasting life.

4. God doesn't want ONE PERSON TO PERISH IN THE LAKE OF FIRE FOREVER.

5. God desires for all people to be saved.

6. God shows His great love for us by sending His only Son to die for our sins while we were still sinners. God didn't wait for us to start being good before sending Jesus.

7. God commands us to believe on Jesus because He wants us to be saved. God also commands us Christians to love one another.

Buddy ole pal, Peter (the apostle) is referring to believers here not nonbelievers. Those who have confessed Christ Jesus as Lord must add to their faith those qualities/characteristics so that they will not be barren nor unfruitful. Unbelievers do not have any faith for salvation, so they are not able to add any of those qualities to their faith.

"This is good, and it is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth
."
I Timothy 2:3-4

* true, but people who are good in the eyes of God will not go to hell...

"For God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love which you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do."
Hebrews 6:10

* God will NOT overlook the good deeds of a person...

"Then the King will say to those at his right hand, Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.
Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?
And the King will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me."
Matthew 25:34-40

* these people do NOT even know Christ and was NOT even in the Church but they were saved... please do not be so judgmental to others... 😉

Once again friend, the Lord Jesus Christ is referring to believers who have done these benevolent things not unbelievers. You must do a better job friend of rightly dividing the Word of Truth (the Scriptures, the holy Bible). Any seemingly insignificant thing that a believer does for others (including for othr believers) the Lord sees/treats as though we have done it for Him.

One of my favorite things about christianity is its capitolization fetish.

🙄 You are not the teacher.

Ephesians 4:11
And He Himself [i.e. Jesus Christ] gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
