Maul and Obession Ventress vs. Dooku, no force.

Well I must say that Nick Gillard hasn't got authority for anything when he is talking about their power level, he is not a source at all, it is his opinion.

And what EU authors say is there opinion, too. Gillard has at least as much authority for talking about the character's lightsaber skills as any EU author does since he is in charge of training them, why wouldn't his word have any credibility?
And the fight on the Invisible hand was going to be very long, they just cut out most of the part. In the novelisation it is much longer...

In the novelisation Kit gets hit head cut off...

Rampant, this fight is NO FORCE USAGE at all. Which, crudely speaking, means Dooku is beaten by his own age and the youthful vitality of Ventress and Maul.

Since when has age mattered in the SW universe. Dooku was 83 years old when he was defeated by Anakin. And he barely used the Force in that duel. The only time he did so was when he threw Obi-Wan away.

Yoda's like 860 years old when he fights Sidious, and he rocks.

Anyway, Dooku loses nevertheless.

Old age had nothing to do with the fight? As I seem to recall, Dooku and Yoda and the rest of the oldies used the force to be able to overcome the limitations of age. However, you're agreeing with me, so good for you 🙂

I would say that Maul and Assaj would never be able to meld their forms properly. They never trained or fought together. While they are attacking Dooku, they have the risk of hitting each other.

Dooku would not be at much of a disadvantage because of this. We know that he is stronger than Maul and a couple of leagues above Assaj. He uses a lightsaber form excellent against other lightsaber users.

He is obviously talented at deflecting multiple lightsabers (the battle with him against Anakin and Obi Wan, he seemed to be wtfpwning the duo.)

Maul: A good duelist, but his style would not meld well with Assaj's.

Assaj: Trained with and toyed by Dooku (she was mentioned as his protege)

What I see happening is Dooku easily removing his student, whom he understands quite well (Assaj). Due to difficulty in melding their styles together, Maul would not be much help in overwhelming Dooku.

Afterwards, the battle goes down to Maul and Dooku, whom Dooku easily beats (or he suffers a stroke and dies 🙁)

They won't need to meld well to beat Dooku. They'll overwhelm him.

How? They would risk hurting each other.

Dooku could direct each of their strikes against the other, he has done this before against Anakin and Obi Wan, both of which were talented duelists.

Neither Maul nor Assaj have the benefit of Shien to overcome Dooku's style either.

You think Makashi will work well against 4 blades? Two double bladed lightsabers on each side of him? Maybe if the contenders weren't that great, or were average, but, Maul and Asajj are too much.

I agree how Assaj and Maul's styles will conflict. Maul's double sided lightsaber will take up quite a bit of room.

Even though Maul does use a double-bladed Juyo form, he still has to use the two-bladed Jar'Kai, which Ventress uses. So even though they won't be coordinated, their Jar'Kai abilities will work together, enough to defeat the Count.

Very true 😐

I'm just spewing out comments! shock

Asajj and Maul would both use double bladed lightsabers, on either side of Dooku, and not need to coordinate their attacks as well. Dooku could defend against one but not both sides at once.

He hasn't even authority to say that. He is not even a source, he just states his opinion. He says that Anakin by ROTS is more powerful than anyone in the galaxy...

Uh...are you saying the novelisation is uncanny? Cause it's not...

He has say when it comes to the Jedi and Sith's saber skills, since that's the area he deals with. If he says that Anakin is the strongest person in the galaxy in terms of saber skills than that's accurate, but he doesn't have any authority to just say Anakin's overall the strongest persion end of discussion.
