I honestly think another Thread should be created simply to expose the absurd things that the Bible says, that the website provides. I want to see how many Christians are actually aware of what thier Bible says, and how they plan to justify it.

So you know, the Bible has pretty much covered all it's bases when it comes down to finding flaws, not saying that it can't be done, but if you were you debate with someone who truly knows it back to front, they can pretty much tear apart your arguments. Most flaws people see in the Bible come from a lack or knowledge or misinterpretation.

I have yet to see any person sucessfully justify why innocent people should be put to death for things as miniscule as fornication, homosexuality, shaving your beard, etc.
So far the biggest Zealot here is JIA, and he has poorly failed at explaining ANY of the contradictions that exist.

JIA is not a good example, he just 'copy and paste' things that agree with his mindset and runs. Doesn't have to even be a Bible thumper, a good Bible scholar could do it. The book was written long ago, I'm sure it has gone through many revisions to cover it's bases.

A Bible Scholar could totally shred up my arguments, the way an Art Critic could totally shred up your assertions of an artwork.
Does that validate thier arguments? No....a specialist in any area always has advantage over someone who knows less about it.

That's my point, most arguments people like us throw out about the Bible are ignorant in conception, I have read the Bible, does that make me an expert? No it doesn't, but you get someone who has spent time and energy reading it and cross examining what it says, that person can pretty much tear apart what we think. The Bible is truly an excellent piece of literature, I do not necessarily agree with all that is in it or that God actually had anything to do with it, but I do respect how it is put together.

Well, I have more than likely put alot more time into studying Hitler and the Nazis than you have and I say what I don't make anything up, I'm not some Neo-Nazi trying to justify what Hitler did, I'm just trying to show that evil isn't as plain cut as everyone thinks! (Devil's Advocate)
