There's almost no difference in-between Affirmative Action and the "Old Boys Network"

It's almost the same idea, in my eyes. Whites have their own version and way of doing it and colored people have theirs.

colored 😂

revealing

the old boys network? This is new to me. Is that why black people go out of their way to support black movies and music artists, despite the movies being shit?

New to you? Where've you been?

And are you saying black movies and music artists are shit? That sounds... biased, lets say.

Maybe you could explain what the old boys network is all about?

No, I'm not biased. I'm saying that black people support their "own" movies, even when they're stupid, because they were made by other black people. Most white people don't do this.

The "Old Boys Network" is an informal exclusive system of mutual assistance and friendship through which white men (and sometimes women), belonging to a particular group, like the alumni of a school, exchange favors and connections in places like business and politics, in order to ensure advantages only amongst each other.

And most white people don't do the movie thing but most blacks do? Can you tell me where you got that from? Cause when I go to a movie it's always mostly pack with whites no matter what the movie.

Actually..that and Affirmative Action dont sound anything alike.

But I have a feeling this is just another "white man holding the black man down" thread. So here ya go..

The old boys network has nothing to do with race and everything to do with relationships.

woops

Then you must live in an area where black people don't have enough money to go to the movies or something. But, when I watch TV, it's always black people in the audience of def comedy jams or Steve Harvey. And it's mostly black people in the audience of the Chris Rock show or Dave Chappelle. When I go to the movies, the line for, say Big Momma's House 2, is mostly black folk. My only point is that most black people will go see something because it's done by other black people, while I've not noticed white people don't do this. They don't show any support for a movie or musical artist based on their colour. I think it's a good thing in some respects, but it's also a little closed minded too.

Just as stupid as you since you think you read "The Old Boys Network" is exactly like A.A." when I wrote there's "almost" no difference. Meaning there are differences. But not mostly.

I am. Which is, incidentally, why I don't say "A.A." in this case.

Nope. It's Arseholes Anonymous, which you purposefully sign up for mid-last week right after you preordered "Snakes on a Plane" movies tickets online for you and your male life partner.

Oh, I get it....now I'm the racist, bigot. Okay, I'll play the bad guy for you. Besides, why would I do that? I'm not black.
