Maybe they do too, but others do also. There are many messengers that have some words of wisdom. Some wiser than others.

Dang. This discussion started out as the best thread I've seen on KMC in a really long time. Now we're all back to the normal thing.

and micheal has 6 wings while thor has a muscular body. micheal is celibate while thor had a wife. thor rides on a chariot of goats while miceal flies. blah blah blah. i know darn well that mjolnir is a hammer. its just a parallel. hrm, maybe micheal shud be odin, atleast that way we have gungnir, which is a spear.

oh yeah the matter of you calling it a spear understate that 🙄 😄
right about Odins spear though

Michael is an essentially pure being while Thor is fueled largely by anger, mead and competitiveness.

Heimdall would seem like a better parallel. He's devoted to his responsibilities, serves a greater power, he is quite powerful, he has inborn wisdom (unlike Odin who went and found it).

No spear though srug

No spear though
great horn though

Is Jesus a Buddhist?
...

Very interesting - I've also come accross this kinda comparisons before. Maybe Buddha was a Christian? I don't really know, but Jesus was definately a Buddha(and not all Buddhas are Buddhist, as Buddha himself said once). It doesn't really matter what you label yourself as and Buddha said himself that you can be a Buddhist without having to call yourself one, in fact, the Buddha rejected the notion of self, therefor any labeling or naming of something that points to a 'essence' is unsupported.

Very interesting though.

i do not think the jesus was a buddha. i mean he may have been, but not to the point of a buddha.

So, in other words, he was a Bodhisattva.

maybe. maybe not. we do not know much about him. but he does not seem to be fulfilled in himself, he seems suffering, he seems obsessed with making people beleive in certain truths so i do not even know that you cud call him a boddhisvata fromt he buddhist spirit of thing.

A Christian can be a Buddhist without breaking the 1st commandment because Buddhism does not worship a God. There are a few Christians who are members of my Buddhist group. We promote world piece through individual happiness, and that does not conflict with Christianity.

I love how you put that. Tis true. I just wish more Christians would realize the peaceful Buddhist side of Christianity...the world would be a better place, that's for sure.
