Wait a minute? How can you know if time is or is not linear, I mean if time were to slow down or get faster or stop for a while and then resume would anybody notice?
OMG I just thought of something! "Today time stoped for about an hour. Now it is moving steadily at 1 second per second and 12 PM will arrive on time." LOL 😛
I think that if souls exist then reincarnation would suck, bcause what's the point of existing after death if all your memoryes and everything you have learned in life is erased and you become a totally different person?
I think the point is to become as conscious as you can in this life so that memory loss is minimized when transitioning to the next life. Over time, the accruing awareness finally enables one to break free of the death-rebirth cycle, such that one becomes what one was all along: "God."

Since I can't speak from personal experience, I can't tell you for sure. I would imagine that it's Not like you remember all the events which happened, like replaying a movie, but more like themes are recalled or the highlights. You remember what you need to remember so that your current life can build upon the past life.
But again, this is purely an educated guess.
Yeah, I guess that that's the way it would work, you remember the important lessons of your previous lives. But that's still sad since there's not much difference between "no soul" and "reincarnation cycle" since in any case the sentient "you" ceases to exist. But the lucky bastard that gets to be last before braking the cycle will get to live forever 🤨
