They were meant as laughs, sometimes you hit the nail on the head and drive it home rather quickly 😉

I'm gald. I like that skill.

It's a very nice one, and keeps one from hitting ones thmb.

😆 True, but my nature is before I notice, I've usually driven the nail through my thumb. (when I screw up)

😆

But thats ok, I'd rather do that than give a weak response.

Yeah, sometimes a weak response is worse than no response.

I would say often...but they work well in theory.

Its why guns work so much faster...

Yep, nothing says goodbye like a bullet.

tehe...yes...I do like that line. Especially because all the people in your sigs look like they just got shot because of it.

😆

Oh,..alright. If you insist. But don't ever say that I never did anything for you. I will even throw in a bonus and use the same website that your boy Tempy (Templares) used yestereday. You know the one where you say he owned by a** on. Remember that one? But it will not do you any personal good unless you read it.

so basically the link is yet another creationist/ID believer writing to try and disprove evolution and somehow believing this that it automatically must therefor prove creationism/ID

rather than actually writing anything that proves creationism/ID....which of course they cant do...because they have no proof

Conversion of a former Darwinist, November 22, 2000 Reviewer: A reader
I must admit that reading this book was somewhat shocking. I had expected to see rehashed creationist arguments about the Second Law of Thermodynamics and the lack of transitional forms in the fossil record. On the contrary, nothing Wells says depends on creationist ideas. He has collected evidence from the mainstream, peer-reviewed scientific literature, and combined them into a compelling case against what we might call "textbook Darwinism." This might be a trivial accomplishment, since the record of high school and college textbooks is generally dismal. But his cumulative argument seems to me devastating to orthodox Neo-Darwinism, since it just is textbook Darwinism. Wells discusses the famous comparative vertebrate embryo diagrams-- which should be an embarrassment to any textbook author who includes them--the fallacious way homology is used for evidence of common ancestry, the collapse of the story of Peppered Moths, Darwin's finches, and many more pieces of the Darwinist lore. By the time I was finished, I had lost faith in almost everything I thought I knew about evolution. I now suspect that Darwin will soon join company with Marx and Freud.
I'm not sure what I believe at this point, but I can no longer buy the official story. I don't know if I agree with some of Wells' recommendations in his conclusion, but something clearly has to be done. Hysterical defenses of falsified "evidence" by Darwinian disciples at Talk.Origins and elsewhere convinces me that they didn't see this coming, and won't be able to deal with the actual facts involved.

I was fortunate to have read this book in manuscript form, being a long-time friend of its author, Jonathan Wells. It is no exaggeration that this book will shake the Darwinian establishment at its foundations. Many books that criticize Darwinism have found fault with the theory in more or less general terms. The unwarranted extrapolation from micro- to macroevolution, the lack of good evidence for the power of natural selection as the driving force behind evolution, and the paucity of transitional forms in the fossil record are at the top of the usual litany of complaints against Darwin's theory. Jonathan Wells takes a very different line. He looks at the supposedly very best evidence for Darwin's theory, usually at the level of microevolution, and shows that even here outright fraud and misreprentation dog all the key examples (e.g., the peppered moth, Haeckel's embryo drawings, and the Miller-Urey experiment). As Wells notes, earlier in his scientific career he had been prepared to accept the validity of these examples despite his doubts about Darwinism generally. But instead he found that on closer examination the key examples that Darwinists cite to support their theory are themselves either fraudulent, staged, or misrepresented. This will be devastating news for the Darwinian community. Yes, committed Darwinians can close ranks and claim that the problems are not that serious --that teachers must misrepresent in order to convey the deeper truths underlying Darwinism. But this approach will not stand the light of day -- certainly not after Wells's meticulous scholarship in this book becomes widely known. When I write a book, one of the clauses in my publishing contract requires that all the claims I make in the book be factually accurate. All the biological textbooks that deal in any significant way with Darwinian evolution will now have to be rewritten as a result of Wells's book Icons of Evolution. Icons of Evolution is a call to the biological community to do some much needed housecleaning.

Regardless of your preconceived ideas, this book will be an eye-opener. Wells does an incredible job of making this topic thorough, readable, and fascinating. Whatever side you are on, evolution, creation, or intelligent design, this book will enhance your knowledge of the issue. This book is well-researched, well-written, and hard to put down. I found the attacks on this book rather amusing, as if the reviewers were desperate to put down Wells and attempt to keep people from reading this book. Don't fall for it---find out for yourself. I am a science teacher, and am in no way connected with the Discovery Institute.

I noticed that whenever a book on the topic of evolution appears in print, the scientists right away take sides, either against it or a priory accepting it, depending on their own preconcieved ideas. Having a PhD degree in biology or related fields, doesn't make someone a knowledgeable scientists. It only sets him on the way of becoming one some day. Unfortunately, very few PhDs are willing and able to develop an objective approach to science but instead evaluate experimental and other evidence with their eyes closed to anything else but their own beliefs. Please do not listen to the self-advertised "scientists" who made no real contribution to the science, instead read what "giants" like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking had to say on this topic.
This book is written for the open-minded readers searching for truth. Those who are not prepared for the challenge should not read it at all.

You are a fool JIA. Scientific evidence against The Theory of Natural seleciton is practically non-existant.

Stop polluting once honorable threads with pointless posts.

When you have an actual argument to present, come back to me. 😉

Dude the link you just posted contains links that " . . . . REFUTE Wells' book and demonstrate that the traditional, mainstream-science-supporting interpretations of these "icons" are correct."

You just gave us a link where Creationism is being OWNED. What the hell are you trying to achieve when you posted it?

JIA please explain to me how the process of evolution/natural selection works. How you were taught in school.
