Creation vs Evolution

You would never get this kind of argument anywhere in Europe becase its just so stupid. Its like trying to argue that the cookie monster is real.

Hey, numnuts. It's not evolution that creationists are against, it's the evolutionary origins of life as well as evolution above the species level (macroevolution, oh, noes, I has said it, let the destruction begin).

Right, let me see, since the last ice age it has been more than 5000 years, or something like that, and now there are billions upon billions of humans on earth.

Imagine the speed of "evolution" when millions of people are born mutated in some way every daymn second, the chances of mutation are little, but when there is so many people on earth....

There should be alot of sub-types of people. Remarkably, there isn't. (people would survive perfectly with 6 fingers on each hand i must say, and in todays modern lifestyle people who have aspergers with artistic skills come in handy for survival)

In britain we'd evolve so we could evolve faster and never die out, looking at how much the weather changes.

Now if evolution cannot explain how life began, then creation has won already because that actually does. We were made from dirt the christian god says, and as a scientific fact that is true, the complicated bit (the putting together) was also up to god.

Evolution was never supposed to say how life began. I hate it when creationists keep using that argement. It shows how ignorant they really are.

Evolution like that takes millions of years. Evolution is not something you can discount just because you dont like it. Its FACT, like the sun it hot, thats FACT, we breath air to live, FACT. Could you explain why else we humans share 96% of our genes with chimpanzies (which is of course FACT)

Origin of life is a complete different matter. You could use God as an answer, which is fine by me, but discounting evolution is like saying theres no gravity

Millions per second? Try like 25.

Evolution is slow becuase mutations can occur in noncoding areas and have no effect at all.

It TOOK millions of years, humans haven't dominated earth since the year dot, and now there are many more people than millions of years ago those millions of years should be reduced to 10 years in the 21st century, especially if evolution is for survival (we'd evolve quicker to survive)

Then evolution is pointless and doesn't exist, because if it does we didn't appear for no reason and have even a less reason to carry on living.

1) Evolutionary changes happen over VERY long periods of time, not several thousand years, as in speicies diversification.
2) A mutation doesn't automatically=evolution
3) Changes/mutations happen, if that change helps a species survive better in the ever changing (though slowly changing) environment, a change or a split in the species may occur.
4 Declaring a win over one line of thought because another doesn't explain it, is outright dumb. What about other possibilities? Duh.
5) There is little "scientific fact" in religion/creation, that is a fact.

BTW, the "Christian God" doesn't say how life began and that humans were made from dirt... That's the Old Testament, the Torah; that's Jewish and predates Christianity by several thousand years.

...and as always:

You do know the Earth is about 4.5 billion years. Humans being around for about a million years is nothing compared to how long the earth has been around

Oh, please dont tell me you're one of those people who think the world is 6000 years old, or somthin stupid like that

It's fairly obvious...

Then why hasn't the Earth evolved? 131

The torah isn't the old testament.

Did you just say that Creation is right because God making us from dirt is a scientific fact?

1. There are still billions of people, and a (actually rather large) 20% chance the mutation will be good for the effected.

2. I once mentioned that and a group of atheists (supposedly very smart ones at that) told me races weren't part of evolution 😱 Neways, that's just micro-evolution, macro is the one that i don't believe on the major part.

3. That's right, to survive we need to evolve before the whole of our species dies out, so the beasts that have the most mutations survive 😱

4. We are made from the same material as dirt *cough* *cough*

It did. The world evolved to become my arse 🙂

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Kings are all the Torah.

No. The group with the best mutations survives. Humans have lost much of our ability for evolution b/c we lack the threads that we should face.

And your point is?

1. Based on a science lesson at school, lol

2. Ofcourse it wasn't, just shows that it isn't just christians who have different ideas on what they believe, tsk tsk tsk

3. Then all the creatures still alive on earth should have more mutations at birth to ensure the passing of genes (which also is rather pointless as some people don't even want to have sex, lol)

4. *sigh* nvm

Most mutations that occur dont have any visible effect whatsoever, and mutations that do usually have negative affects (thats how you get genetic diseases). Its very rare that we would get beneficial mutations, and theres the thing of how you define a beneficial mutation- like some one with sicke cell disease (a genetic disease) would have better resistance to malaria, but that mean crap if that person lives in northen europe.

Once again, you're confusing evolution with abiogenesis. As for this whole mutation business, it has been shown that animals adapt to environments because of environmental pressures. If the organism is already suited for that environment, then why would the organism need to change?

Edit: I do hope you're joking about the dirt statement because it's much more complex than that

Oh shit on a stick. I just clicked BananaKing's name and realized the same ****tarded idiot kid from ~two years ago that was talking about how humans are scientifically made of dirt has finally, sadly learned to type again, however uncoherently.

Theoretically, one could make that argument, being that all atoms are made of protons, neutrons, and neglectrons (what), but then one could also make the argument that humans are made out of chlorine.
