I don't know what Buddhism says about the start of life. There isn't much written in Buddhist text about that. There is a lot of Buddhist text that I have not read, but Buddhism is about now, and not about the past.

How do you know that? If all of the universe was together 14 billion years ago. Then the observable universe would be twice that size ~ 28 billion light years across. Sense the big band did not explode into empty space, then I doubt there is anything beyond that. We maybe sitting in a hypersphere were the universe is curved back unto itself, but so far the universe appears to be flat.
