If your interpretation of the meme is that it should be "No, homo" you are incorrect.
If your interpretation of my interpretation is that it should not be "No, homo", then, no, you're incorrect.
In English, yes, [name] is the proper way to state that meme.
The "no homo" is the idiot way of typing that out.
For instance, "Yes, I will." Is correct.
"No, Brian." Is correct.
"No, homo." Is also correct.
"no homo" is not correct.
I believe you want the meme to be expanded to the following: "No homoerotic interpretation of the previous statement, please." That's not what really what it means or how it is used.
It means, "No, you homosexual, don't interpret my previous statement as gay." It is a preempting of the homosexual interpretation of the previous words. It is preventing a double entendre. It's origins came from stating that, in discussion, towards friends. You are, quite literally, calling the people around you "homo" if they mistreat your words as the unintended homoerotic interpretation.
It wasn't until the internet came along that it expanded to by a general application to everyone reading instead of a specific person it is directed towards.
In this instance, I typed "No, homo" to preempt Robtard. It was specifically directed at Robtard because you know he would have said something.
Also, I have tons of time this morning. 🙂

"No, homo" is not what "no homo" means. You are correct that it is grammatically incorrect, but that doesn't mean it is calling the other person a homo, it isn't. What "no homo" means is "what I just said is not meant in a homosexual way". Again, just talking about the meme, and how it is used.
