Superman apparently can use T-Vo to push dangerous toxins(K-Nite) out of his body. Might come in handy when fighting a certain guy who rides a surf board.

As Avalon said it can be used to boost his defenses like he did when he fought Advesary who is a magical powered being also.

Handbooks are secondary sources, most places I know of are of the stance that only info that can be verified using the primary source(comics) is to be trusted
