So? Their one on one fights show them as exactly even.

I'm digging that art and story feel.

I'm tired of the science of the Superman and Batman comics.

The whole magical feel to Cap's adventures, is kinda like the Harry Potter books, which are good reads(forget what you heard!)

I'm definitely gonna wait for the trade though.

I don't know how long this will last, but it seems Billy's finally following the path Thor had to take several years ago; being the ruler/ taking charge, with all the power upgrade that comes with it, plus responsibility.

Well Captain Marvel (not Shazam) DOES get a small portion of his strength from Hercules who recently appeared in WW #2.

No. Hercules and the other gods give a portion of their powers to Captain Marvel.

As shown here:

Marvel is bestowed with their powers. I've never seen that it was just a portion.

Shazam the Wizard bestowed his Champion, Captain Marvel with the portion of the powers of the gods themselves. He bartered with the Greek Pantheon and asked them to bestow some of their abilities upon his champion as his master did to him.

The Greek Gods gave via Zeus's Divine Lightening automaticially give a portion of their powers to Cap. Marvel when he states the word SHAZAM.

They clearly wouldn't give ALL their powers or they would be powerless.

Proof in case with Champion aka. Hercules when he was trying to seduce Diana. He would have bouts of weakness every so often. He later confessed the "Batson child" was taking some of his strength when he became Captain Marvel.

well ok then... i always just took it as the same way Zeus gave all his kids powers, he just allowed shazam to mirror those divine energies..i didnt think he would literally be draining their powers

Marvel with only a portion of the gods powers wouldn't be able to hang with Supes. CM doesn't literally get Solomon's, Herc's, Atlas's, Zeus's, Achilles and Mercury's powers from the individuals, but get bestowed with their abilities.
