Smush has been ok for a cheap pickup who hasnt even played a full season before, he is lazy as hell when it comes to defense but im hoping with the right coaching in the off season he could become a solid backup. He's had some great moments offensively but thats what you expect from a street-baller, he just needs to develop some defensive fundamentals.
Sasha is the one that has worn my patience out, his only job is to hit the open shot and he is shooting just over 30% for the year. Every shot he takes is wide open from Kobe or Lamar drawing doubles but he has laid so many bricks i think he should change vocation.
I'd like to see the Lakers pick up either Duhon or Banks in the off season, both are great defenders Duhon probably runs an offense better. If we can get a solid PG like that and maybe add a PF with an outside shot that can rebound and block the occasional shot i'll be happy. Bosh would fine. 😈

I'm not even sure because I don't follow college ball enough. Aldridge is the first to come to mind. Brandon Roy would be promising but I don't think the Blazers will take him with #1. Then of course there is Morrison who will be a hustler. I started hearing good things about JJ Reddick for a while but from what I've heard the last couple months, he is pretty much a pure shooter and isn't too developed all around. This certainly isn't the best year for the draft, I don't think. I wish we could have pulled a LeBron or Dwight year, but oh well.

Miles and Z-Bo are both idiots. Miles being worse than Zach (although Zach got suspended for almost the exact same thing). He (Miles) has always been overrated (at least by Paul Allen) PLUS he causes horrible chemistry problems. I want him gone, plain and simple. Assuming Przybilla stays (although last I heard he wants to leave because of the mentally immature teammates), how about a Miles/Ratlif/Lenard(or Outlaw) for Lamar/Mihm trade?

That being said (especially after Dirk and Wade each got 1 vote from ESPN), COME ON LeBRON! This is exciting. If LeBron, Wade, or Dirk get it, I will be extremely happy. If Kobe gets it, well, I think he deserves it more than Nash so I would be mildly ok with that (despite me simultaneously hoping Kobe never gets one in his life).

I think the Blazers need to do everything they can to keep Przybilla, hard working big men are not easy to find in the NBA and he has the potential to be a solid center.
How is the Blazers salary cap? That can really stunt a teams growth when they have a few high paid slackers, just ask Larry Brown.
I like the Blazers back court, Dixon and Blake always have big games against the Lakers (though i'm not sure if thats because our defense sucks). Telfair is Tony Parker quick and with a few years of maturity he might become a similar player if he wants it bad enough.
They have a real opportunity to get alot better in the draft but they have to pick wisely, i'd say they need to go for the SF and PF spot if there are good enough players available.

The Pacers actually match up really well with the Nets, Granger is a very underrated defender and Jackson is no slouch. Plus you have J.O. patrolling the paint. If the Nets continue their strong play from the reg season then they should pull it off, but it is by no means a sure thing.
I love this time of year, playoff hoops is great even if you dont have a team in there. My Lakers will have to control the tempo against the Suns if they are to have any chance, if it turns into a track meet we wont be able to hang. We definitely have an advantage inside with Mihm and Kwame going against Marion, Thomas and Diaw but that will only work if we can slow the game down. Should be an interesting series anyway and im just glad the Lakers proved the critics wrong and made it to the playoffs.
Good news for you Royke, it looks like Bosh is going to re-sign. 😛
