i know....indiana played a great game. they were just on fire in the second half, especially jermaine o'neal and surprisingly anthony johnson who has been dominating his matchup with jason kidd. one reason i think the nets lost is because rj tried to do too much in the second half by dominating the basketball, nenad krstic played decent but was in some foul trouble, and for some reason....idiot vince carter did not look to get involved until the very late stages of the game despite being the nets hottest player in the first half, scoring 21 first half points on 8-11 shooting.

Denver fans are retarded, also. They were winning with like 24 seconds left, so they start chanting "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye." Do they realixe they are still down 2-1 and have to win 3 more games? Your supposed to chant that when you eliminate the other team.

Getting back to the MVP thing, the sad truth is Nash wasn't really the MVP on his own team, Shawn Marion led the team in every category except assists. I think any Suns fan would agree with me in thinking where the hell would we be without Marion.
What kind of message would it send to the NBA public in general, media, writers, fans..etc. If Kobe's team ends up winning this series instead of Nash's team. It's kinda funny I mean, who's looking like the real MVP now?
Btw, I'd just like to point out that if Amare were healthy this wouldn't even be a series, but ssshhhh....don't tell a Lakers fan that, you might piss them off.
So, in conclusion yes Nash is a good player, a great player actually but without Marion and Amare and good role players like Diaw, Bell, Barbosa, and Thomas, they Aint Goin No Where!!!

MVP is based on the regular season, not the playoffs. If that was true, Ben Rothlisberger would of gotten the MVP over Alexander and Tom Brady would of gotten the MVP over Payton Manning.
And please, the NBA dont choose the MVP, its mostly the media who chooses the MVP.

All those players have already made a difference. They have been solid role players for every team that they've played for, the Suns are no exception.
Finally i get to watch the Lakers in the playoffs instead of listening to them on the radio and what a game to witness for Laker fans.
Everyone played their part today the ball movement was a thing of beauty, thats what can happen when everyone knows the offense. Even Kwame was making some nice assists out of the double teams, i couldnt be more proud of my guys.
Kobe has basically played the facilitator role that he had in the Shaq years and fed Lamar and Kwame in the post to use our inside advantage, even Luke has been posting up and making some nice moves to score.
I said right at the beginning of the series if we can control tempo then we have a very real chance, that is easier said than done against the Suns but so far the plan is working perfectly. The Suns have to make adjustments, just saying we have to run more will not get it done. They have to adjust their defense and double the post more, our outside shooters arent that great and long shots mean long rebounds which they can run off.
Also Rza, i fully realise that we would be looking at a very different series if Amare was playing, i may be a Laker fan but im also a realist. Keep in mind though that we have lost to the Suns 3 out of 4 times this season without Amare in the line up, its the difference in the style of play in the post season that has caused the Suns problems and the fact that their opponent has a chance to properly prepare in a way you cant in the regular season.
It was great to see Staples rocking like that and the scary thing is that we still made alot of mistakes, if we can tidy that up we are looking real good.
Dr, great win by the Kings. They have fought really well the last couple of game and they got their reward in this one. Hopefully they can win the next one at Arco and make a series of it.
Well, im gonna go watch that Laker game again. I wont be taping over this one anytime soon.
oh and about the mvp... you wont really know if nash deserves it unless hes hit by an injury and the suns have to do without him for a long period... i think nash is more important to the suns than amare is. i will say this though... marion is amazing. whether he can create on his own and keep the stats up without a nash i dont know.. but for me nash getting the mvp is just credit all round to the suns for being better than what everyone expected this year...
and the remarks about stockton never winning it... i'm sure malones mvp in 97' or 98 he also said wouldnt have been viable without stock... so there is some credit there... but he should have had his own statue.

yea, but look at what you're taking away, marion, amare and all the role players. that leaves nash by himself.
the point of the MVP is take that ONE person out of the team and would they be as good? if they didn't have nash, no way would marion carry them to 54 wins. who was giving him the ball to make all those points?

i also agree that kobe is surprising a hell of alot of people, barely scoring double digits and giving up the ball so much, he's really showing his talent. he's also the real problem for the suns. he isn't looking to score and it confuses the **** out of the defense. if you trust that he isn't looking to score and slack off on him, he will burn you, but if you double up, he'll pass out and someone else will burn you. hell, recently he doesnt even need a double team to pass out. if he sees someone open he gives it up. the suns aren't the pistons, their defense can't keep up really
