I think he'd have just as much trouble staying with LeBron, T-Mac, RJ or some of the other SF in the league. He'll probably be asked to bulk up a bit so he can play PF/C, that seems to make more sense than asking a 7footer to develop the kind of foot speed required to defend SF's. I guess Rasho is a decent stop gap for now.

Well he isnt really good at defense anywhere, but I dont think the Raptors will ask him to bulk up either because he is very athletic guy and bulking up, he might lose his speed and quickness.
I'm not he's as quick as those guys but I dont think he will be at all effective as an C.

I just know that the Italian was picked up because he can shoot and was quick for an 7footer. Analysts thought he wasnt going to number 1 because of his lack of rebounding (Raptors biggest problem) and defense, and he doesnt play like an 7footer.

^ Sounds like he might struggle to find a position in the league then, hopefully he can improve on defense like Dirk has to the point where he is not a total liability. Did you like the Raps taking him #1 or would you have preferred someone else? That question is to both our resident Raptor fans.

Royke, Williams has played for a few teams but never the Wizards. Atlanta, Seattle, Boston, Denver, Orlando, New Orleans and now LA.

Oh the tweeners.

I have a feeling this guy will turn out to be really good later on in his career. The guy has been playing really well in the EuroLeagues for the past two years, so he can play.

I think it was a good pick. I cant really think of anybody else aside from Aldridge.

😆 😆 😆

Looks like the Raptors are close to signing Fred Jones, he might even start over Peterson. If not he is a solid back up 2 guard.

Dallas get Anthony Johnson for Darrel Armstrong, Josh Powell and Rawle Marshall.

i dont think fred jones will start over mo-pete, but hes a welcome addition. would be a good idea having mo pete coming off the bench though. man its nice having choices!

I think the stronger the Raptors make their squad the more attractive the franchise will be to free agents, of course having Colangelo as GM doesnt hurt either.

I think Mo Pete does better coming off the bench.

They also picked up some Spanish C, I forget his name, but it is said that he's the blocker and rebounder and tough guy and hustler they need in the post. Now, we just need an 3pt sharp shooter.

well mo pete is a good 3 point shooter... hes just a bit streaky... maybe bargnani has a decent 3 point shot?

He is, but he aint a sure thing as you said.....A guy like Peja or something similiar would be awesome.

I think he might be, but I dont know.

But Peja is a salary killer. I'd rather have Mo Pete for a decent price.

Or Vlad Rad. 😇

I nknow
I was just using him as an example.
With Mo Pete though, he will have 1 great game, and then 3 bad games, and then 2 great games, and blah blah blah.
It might be like this anymore, but Mo Pete had serious troubles of having good games away.

I just think the Raptors need one sharp shooter to take advantage of double teams of Bosh.

GOOOOOOOOOO PISTONS!!!!!!!!!

Mavs have been pulling a couple good looking moves of late. Sounds like they are getting Devean George who has proven himself as a decent role player for teams looking to win championships.

Or Gump as he is affectionately known in LakerLand.
No seriously thats a good signing for the Mavs, he can play great defense when he is healthy and is pretty consistent from long range. He struggled with the triangle because he doesnt have the highest bball IQ but in a free wheeling offense like the one Dallas runs he should be fine.

Dan, I bet you are happy to hear that the 76ers are no longer shopping AI.

Oh, and Barkly for Governor!
