That was an exciting game. Bad no calls on Kobe at the end of regulation and OT.

There were a few and they were pissing me off, but I'm glad it didn't cost us the game although it almost did.

My man Gilbert Arenas is tearing it up.

Are you serious? HELL NO, that's not the best dunk ever.

No!

Great dunk. Not even close to best ever.

Lakers are on a roll, 11 games over going for 12 tonight against the leagues top dawg, the Mavericks.

My prediction: Lakers 103-99

God I hate the Suns!!!

Happy New Year guys, hope everyone had a great holiday.

What a day to return to KMC, the Lakers beat the top team in the league with a total team effort. That seems to be more and more frequent with Kobe playing more of a playmaker role while Lamar is out. The fact that we are on a four game winning streak without Lamar and Kwame really shows how deep our team is this year, we may only have 1 all star but we do have alot of solid bench players who are really learning their strengths.
The one moan i have is with our defense, mainly the pick and roll. Its always been a problem with Phil coached Laker teams but the blame used to be on Shaq because he was always too lazy to show on the screen, we dont have that excuse anymore and we still suck. Teams are just running screen and rolls on us from the top of the key and we are helpless, Wade had a field day with it on xmas day, Felton and Okafor had their way with the same play, its just boggles the mind that we havent learnt how to rotate properly yet. We have to fix this if we want to go deep in the playoffs, if Felton and Okafor carved us up then Nash and Amare would be ugly for sure.
But there are more positives than negatives for the Lakers right now, Bynum is starting and putting up some great numbers. More importantly he is giving us an intimidating presence on defense which we really need with our perimeter defense being so soft. Kobe is leading this team like i always wished he would, in the past he has had a single minded determination to be the best but i think he now realises that even if you are the best you cant win it all without lifting your teammates up with you. Smush and Cook have been playing a lot better lately to which is really valuable with all our injuries, once Lamar and Kwame get back we will be that much deeper.
Anyways thats my take on the Lakers (like you really asked for it), there are other hoops topics i could talk about but i am going to celebrate this Laker win first 😮‍💨 .

Oh and isnt it great to see the old ball back? Finally Adolf Stern had to back down.

Refs handed the Heat a victory over the Blazers. In the final minute, Wade lost control and fell to the ground, but instead of traveling, they called a foul. Zo then got hook shot in off the inbounds giving Heat the lead for good. The very next play, Roy got big time fouled and there was a no call.

I bet there are alot of Mavs fans that can feel you pain on that one man, Wade is a great player no doubt but he gets more ref love that MJ and that aint right. Let him earn what he gets, he'll be a better player for it.

Also, I sure as hell hope Roy wins rookie of the year still. He is still playing like the best rookie and the only thing really against him is that he was injured for a month or so.

Been missing your long ass post, but it is always a good read.

Lakers FTW!

^ Thanks bro, its nice to be back. Especially with all the Laker fans we seem to have here at the moment, at least now i know someone will read my ramblings about the Lakers.

😄

and Myth i agree, Roy is the truth. He has a solid game on both sides and plays like he's been in the league for years. I like Aldridge to, great draft for the Blazers.

Well if Bargnani continues to improve, he could have a chance at the ROY award also.
