Yeah Kobe was amazing taking over the playoffs while shooting .700 for a series against arguably the best defensive team in the league and doing something in the playoffs that nobody since Jordan had done. Oh wait, that was Wade.

Until Kobe leads his team to the Finals like Wade did, he is not the best player in the league. Putting up consecutive 50 point games against terrible defensive teams in the regular season won't change that. Kobe is the best scorer in the L, but scoring isn't everything.

And people were putting Lebron over Kobe last year because he was a team player unlike Kobe and a more deserving MVP. The playoff series against Phoenix only cemented that he was hurting his team more than helping with his ball hogging in the regular season.

Wow, Lebron over Kobe huh. He has better role players around him and he plays in the weaker conference. Kobe hurts his team? You must obviously not watch Laker ball. That team was pretty much horrible throughout the year last season and only started clicking towards the end of it. Stop criticizing Kobe's 50 point run. The team was on a seven game losing streak and he carried that team on his shoulders. This is what I mean, Kobe does something that puts him in Wilt's league and people still find ways to put the amazing feat down. Wade cant and will not score 50 points four times in a row, and it doesnt even matter what team he were to play. You all keep thinking like Wade brought up the Heat by himself. He had a center that took pressure off of him and oh wait, better role players than Kobe too. Kobe led the Lakers to the championships just as much as Shaq. Who had to take over the game by himself during the clutch because someone couldnt make his free throws late in the game? Shaq would have never won a championship in LA without Kobe, and that's a fact. Yes the Heat are old, but that team was made for the playoffs. Look at them this year, they'll most likely make the playoffs without Wade. Please, tell me what Wade is better at than Kobe. Wade has no chance if he had to carry this sorry team to the playoffs. Yes, scoring isnt everything but Kobe's also a better defender, clutch player, and playmaker than Wade.

But Wade won the championship.

Kobe lost in the first round. Totally clutch.

Wow, seriously does no one get that Wade had and still has a better team around him? Yes, I agree that Wade is a great player, but he has better players around him and he plays in the weaker conference. It's easier to get out of the East than it is to get out of the West. I cant believe that you're joking around about Kobe's clutch.

Honestly, if we're going to keep bringing up Wade's ring then might as well bring in Kobe's three rings into the picture as well.

Chill out man.

I'm just pointing out that I agree with Strangelove.

Damn, i thought you were smarter than that man. That is the weakest argument i've ever heard for not being clutch.
They asked all the GM's in the league which player they would have take the last shot for them and it was unanimously Kobe, but what do they know right?
Wade is a big time player no doubt but to say Kobe isnt just because last year the Lakers didnt make it past the Suns - man i hope you were joking.

Nevermind, I wasnt thinking clearly.

That is one big ass paragraph, I'm going to try and counter is with a short one. Lebron does not have better role players than Kobe, if anything Kobe has better role players. Kobe did not lead the lakers to those 3 championship titles as much as Shaq did, theres a reason why Shaq won all 3 Final MVPs and Kobe didn't, and the Final MVPs aren't as political as the seasons so I hope I don't hear that as in excuse. Not to mention Kobe didn't even showup in the 04 finals against the Pistons, and Shaq did. Last year Kobe couldn't carry his team to beat the Suns, and Wade carryed his team to beat the best in the West, and anyone who says that Wade did not carry that team to a championship last year are either oblivous, or didn't see the playoffs last year. Now Kobe fans are going to say Wade had help from the officals last year, and Wade fans are going to say Kobe scored those 50 pt games against weak defenses, there both right, but that does not make both Wade or Kobe's accomplishment any less than it should be.

I get that all the time.

I can't agree with the "Kobe has worse role players than Wade." Take Shaq out, and the only reliable role player they had last year was Posey and Mourning. Maybe Haslem also. You also got to take into account though, Walker being the worst player to ever walk the earth. I'm not even joking there, he is horrible. And also Jason Williams coming up and shooting everytime. If Walker and Williams would have just been a LITTLE consistent, then yeah, the Heat's role players are better.

I would trade Sasha for Walker in a heart beat, Walker may have some attitude problems but at least he can create his own shot. Sasha is the exception to the rule of "hustle is just as important as skill", he is supposed to be a 3pt specialist but every time he takes one i cover my eyes and pray. He tries hard but that just results in him fouling people 40ft from the basket so he may as well not even try to hustle. Hopefully we can trade him for some Gatorade and a few towels in the off season.

I hate the Heat, although the supporting cast thing is true.

Done. 👆

What I'm trying to say is that carrying teams to playoffs is overrated. No one can do it alone, am I not right? Yes Wade was finals mvp, point is he had enough help to win the championship. Shaq, he was finals mvp but there is no way he'd have those three rings without kobe. People keep using that as an argument, but let me tell you something. No one's led a team to the championship without at least an allstar. Now yes Kobe hasnt brought this team to the playoffs but it simply isnt good enough or experienced enough. Debating who is the best player in the league is too hard to do because everyone has a view on how they think the best player should be. Should it be by best talent (kobe), best team player (steve nash), best player on best team (nowitzki), or to this extent the most recent champion (wade). I'm arguing about who's the best talent.

Nah, its only water they can get for him....not flavoured water, thats too fancy.

It's not even the clean water you get from Canada, its the dark brown muddy water that people get rice from.

If I were you, and had the choice between taking Walker, or keeping the Gatorade, I'd keep the Gatorade, even Gatorade is more consitent than Walker.

It replensishes your electrolytes. (thats what plants need to grow)

I agree Walker is inconsistent and most of the time it looks like he'd rather be elsewhere, but the fact still remains that he was an All Star when he was with Boston and he does have some skills when he decides to play. Sasha on the other hand will never even make an All Star game as a cheerleader and the only skill he supposedly has he can only do in practice apparently.
If push came to shove i'd take the Gatorade and the towels, at least i'd know what i was getting.
