He didn't lead his team to the 2 titles. He had PLENTY of help from Brewer, Green, Horford, and Humphrey. Brewer, Horford, and Humphrey ALL did more for Florida then Noah did. Noah just provided energy. Also, most of Noah's points come off of tremendous entry passes from Humphrey, Green or Brewer, and a decent amout of his rebounds come from the other team doubling down on Horford.

I'm not saying Noah didn't do anything, but he is one piece to the team, no real one player lead that team. But IMO, Humphrey with his 3's, Brewer, and Horford did more than Noah.

Wow you just don't give the guy any credit do you? Everything he did was because he had help and you just give them all the credit. He is a pretty good player as a matter of fact he would have most likely been the #1 overall had he came out last year. Nothing has changed you may not want him on your team but I definitely would and I am all about winning, not tanking games to get the #1 pick in the draft.

No, I don't give HIM credit for Florida's Championships, because he had 4 great players on his side, and Richards off the bench who could start on plenty of teams. I give Noah credit for bringing energy and emotion. Sure, he would have been the number 1 pick last year, but that doesn't mean he's going to be a super star. I really don't think he will do much in the NBA, and that there a plenty of other guys I would rather have, because I think they are either better all ready/ have more potential. I think it is you that give Noah too much credit and not enough to Humphrey, Brewer, and Horford.

I'm about winning too, and quite frankly I don't consider losing in the 1st round of the playoffs EVERY year, settling for a decent pick rather than an all-star pick, and then still losing in the first round again, repeating the process, I don't consider that winning. All the teams you like have been doing good, try being a fan of Philly teams and you'll understand where I'm coming from. face-plain

Energy and Emotion? The hell team is going to waste a first round draft pick on energy and emotion? And I do give credit to those guys but the team leader usually gets a bit more credit than the rest and in this case it is well deserved. But energy and emotion will get you nowhere, Noah is clearly headed somewhere. But do you really believe that Brewer and Horford are better NBA prospects than Noah? I mean, with just a little bit of development he could be an Amare Stoudemire type player but just taller.

Noah is the VOCAL leader. He gets the team fired up. That is the only way I would consider Noah the leader of that team, and that is why most people consider him the leader, not because of his stats, because otherwise it would be Brewer hands down because he fills up the whole stat sheet. The Red Sox consider Jason Varitek the leader of their team, but you surely don't think he's their best player, do you?

I think Horford will be the best out of the Florida players. I never said anything about Brewer. I don't think is a better prospect than Noah, but I don't consider Noah a better prospect than him either.

Noah isnt that great. He doesnt have too many low post moves, his defense isnt that great, and he doesnt shoot very well either. He'll have a tougher time with the quicker and bigger power forwards and centers in the league.

Why are you saying his defense isn't that great? He was the defensive anchor on that team and arguably one of the best in NCAA. He shoots over 50% and quick forwards is probably what he will be best at defending.

I don't understand what games you guys were watching or who you were watching but your rants about Noah shouldn't be filled with "is nots" and "does nots". He may have struggled guarding Oden but that was 1 game and if I recall he did shut him down the first time they played.

The first time they played Oden had a broken right hand. 😉

He's a good help defender. I doubt he'll be a great one on one defender in the league. He's not known for his offense either. With that said, if he wasnt a great scorer in college what makes you think he'll be great scorer in the nba. You can argue that he had good size in college but that doesnt mean that it translates to good size in the nba. Sure there's some good lanky players in the league but they specialize in a certain area. Garnett is lanky, but he has good footwork and can score in the lowpost. Prince for the Pistons is lanky but he has great defense. He can lock down scorers every now and then. I see Noah's greatest potential in being a hustle player. Someone who rebounds and plays decent defense. That means I see him as a good role player at best, not an all star caliber player.

I see Noah being a rich man's Anderson Varejao. He won't be a star but will be a solid NBA player.

Everything I read and are still reading credited Oden's hand for Oden being shut down.

I know this is a bit random compared to what everyone is currently talking about but I'll say it anyway. I'm a big laker fan and I actually enjoy watching this team more than the dynasty one. Dont mistake that for me liking this team more. It's just seems more exciting to watch a team fighting for everything and earning everything the hard way. The dynasty lakers were just really good and us laker fans got spoiled watching them win the trophy every year. We just expected them to turn it up in the playoffs, which they did. Anyway, it just seems much more sweeter the next time we win the trophy, because we're obviously not part of the elite yet. Kobe is learning to become a leader, and we have plenty of young lakers learning from experiences.

I came to the same realisation last season after game 4 against the Suns, when Kobe hit that game winner and the bench emptied and mobbed him.
These Lakers are nowhere near championship material but i like the core we have with Kobe, Lamar, Walton and Bynum. My one wish for the off season is that we add some more defensive minded players at the 1 and 3 spot, Smush has worn out my patience and i hate to see a player not even trying on D. We have plenty of offense when the triangle is clicking but we dont have the personnel to play good team defense and get stops late in the game.
Its kinda fun to start from the bottom and try to get back to the top again, it makes the success much sweeter when it happens. As long as i see improvement every year then im a happy fan.
The "Showtime" Lakers are and always will be my favourite team because thats the era that i became a Laker fan and they played hard every night. But this one right now is right up there, i just hate it when they take nights off.

Smush Parker is dragging the whole defense down. When players have to keep constantly helping you out because you get beat it throws our defense out of sync. Every time I just see guards blowing right past him and it seems like he isn't even trying. Sasha Williams and Farmar are a better fit for our team.

"Better" meaning that those other guys actually give a shit, sad really. Smush has all the tools to be a great defender, quick feet, very quick hands and a huge wingspan, unfortunately he has a terrible attitude when it comes to defense and most of the time he doesnt even seem to care.
