That's exactly it. He didn't say the Lakers have no chance. He implied that they have a chance, but that he THINKS that out of the 7 game series they will ultimately lose. That doesn't mean that he wants them to lose.
Rather, the thing that's annoying is when people make predictions completely based on favortism. It gets difficult to debate when that happens.

I agree we matchup and play well against them but we also have alot of stupid players on our team who dont seem to understand how to maintain our tempo. Even Kobe is guilty of trying to run with the Suns sometimes and when your star player isnt following the gameplan then it doesnt bode well for the rest of the team.

How dare you question my passion as a laker fan. Been cheering for them through thick and thin, even after we lost Shaq and people started losing faith in them. I cheer for them even if we no longer are an elite team. You're an idiot. There's a difference between cheering and logically thinking who's most likely goin to win. You're a blind fan who does not look at all angles of basketball. An intelligent NBA fan knows that suns are most likely goin to win. They're deeper and more experienced. I don't assume anything, I know for a fact I am a much better Lakers fan than you. I don't give a **** about who you care about, we are over the internet, you take it way too seriously. I gave my reasons why the lakers are going to win, I just didn't come out and say they are going to blow right past the Suns without giving any reason why. From past arguments with you I know you have the inability to comprehend. How do I have a lack of knowledge for the game? You can't just say that then have no kind of proof to back it up. Your little insult is null and void. I am not questioning your passion for the game just for the Lakers. I don't think you are a true Lakers fan, you may think you are but I can tell you right now that you aint even close. You never had credibility as a Lakers fan and in my eyes, never will.
This is usually where I try to back out of an argument to avoid further insults but it has to do with my Lakers and if has anything to do with Kobe or the Lakers you can forget about it, I could go on forever. There are only two teams I am truly passionate about in Sports and that is the Lakers and the Trojans. If you guys want to go ahead and argue with me over them ****s in Phoenix then go right ahead, I hate them more than I hate any other team in sports. Now I admitted that we probably wouldn't win against Dallas, they have blown us out the past few times we have played them. But Phoenix is another story, any and all Lakers fan should know that we match-up against them better than any other top team. I am very confident that my team could beat them but it kinda angers me when I read Lakers fan of all people seem to think we don't have a chance, ignoring the stats and the past games against them and the fact that most of our troubles on the defensive side can be traced back to Smush Parker, who has now taken his rightful place on the bench. 90% of our defensive problems are now gone, leave his ass on the bench and we can contend. I tried to share my thoughts. All of a sudden my credibility as a Laker fan is questioned. Never did I say that the Lakers would lose for sure. I said that the Suns have the advantage. It seems that we naturally go against each other even if we are cheering for the same team. Lord Evolution, we've argued against each other before in other threads it's just that I cant tolerate being called a bad Laker fan. They're my favorite franchise as well. Never did I question your love for the Lakers until you questioned mine. I'm glad that you're man enough to acknowledge your mistakes and I apologize as well if I have offended you in some sort of way.
Back to my thoughts... I still think the Suns have the better chance to continue their playoff run but Lakers arent goin down for sure. They always play competitively against the Suns and Kobe most likely still has that bitter taste from last year's playoffs. No matter what team wins, if they face each other in the first round, this will go 6-7 games. Amare was wrong when he said that they'll get by LA rather easily. Hope Kobe heard his words, that would just be adding more inspiration to win it all.
If Lakers play team ball like last year, I see it being a good series going to the Suns in six. If Lakers play Kobe ball, it won't go past five. I'm thinking the latter will happen considering there has been little team ball with the Lakers this past month.
