Just goes to show you that Mike D has no class and his team has none either. Like I just said, Amare shouldn't be talking, he is averaging 13 points against us, he hasn't even had a 20 point game. Tell him to shut his ****in mouth and have at least one good game before you talk. They might as well play Olawakandi instead of him, get his ass off the court with his stiff shoulders.

After reading this it makes me believe that Mike D told Raja Bell to go out and clothesline Kobe.

I wouldn't put it past him.

And making fun of Phil Jackson? COME ON NOW!

What's so bad about that.

It just looks to me like old fashion trash talking. Nothing wrong about it.

You think that the Lakers dont do the same thing in thier team meetings?

I am not going to speculate, if they are then it's just wrong but since there is no public release then I am going to assume they don't. Phil Jackson is a classy guy, I assume it rubs off onto his players.

Here are my predictions just for the fun of it. Although I know, especially this season that anything could happen.

West 1st Rd

Mavs vs Warriors - Mavs in 6. I see the Warriors stealing 2 but that's about it, although it could very well go 7.

Spurs vs Nuggets - Spurs in 6. It could very easily be less than that but I'm giving the Nuggets some credit here.

Suns vs Lakers - Suns in 6. Again, it could be even less but Kobe's definitely not going to let his team get swept.

Rockets vs Jazz - Rockets in 7. 2 pretty well matched up teams but in the end I see the Rockets taking it.

East 1st Rd

Pistons vs Magic - Pistons in 5. I see the Magic stealing 1 game but that's about it.

Cavs vs Wizards - Cavs in 5. I'm thinking the Wizards could steal at least 1 game, especially since it's the Cavs and the East so anything's possible.

Heat vs Bulls - Heat in 7. Again, another pretty evenly matched series but in the end it will be too much Shaq and too much D-Wade. I guess we'll have to wait and see how healthy he is and how much he was faking again.

Nets vs Raptors - Nets in 6. I think in the end the big 3 will prove too much for the Raps. Nets have been there done that and if Moore can give them half of what Kristic was giving them then they could be a force to watch out for in the playoffs.

Qtrs.

Cavs vs Nets - Cavs in 7. The Nets will test them but I don't see Lebron allowing his team to lose this early.

Pistons vs Heat - Pistons in 7. Would love to see a rematch between the Mavs and Heat but this will be as far as they go if they even make it this far, could easily be Ben going up against his old team. Still see the pistons coming out tho either way.

Mavs vs Rockets - Mavs in 6. The Mavs speed and young legs will prove to be too much for the older Rockets team.

Spurs vs Suns - Spurs in 7. The Suns should make it an interesting series but in the end I see the Spurs prevailing with their defense. It's a shame we wont get to see a Mavs vs Suns final but I think the alternate matchup will be just as exciting.

Semis

Pistons vs Cavs - Pistons in 6. Could go 7 but doubt it. Either way can't see the Pistons losing if they've made it this far and not to the Cavs.

Mavs vs Spurs - Mavs in 7. Bloody hard fought batlle of Texas series but still see the Mavs coming away with it in the end like last year although it will be tough.

Finals

Mavs vs Pistons - Another tough series but gotta go with the Mavs in 7.

Mavs win! NBA 1st time champs!

Of course it could be the complete opposite of this but I hope not.

Can Shaq win another? I hope not

Evo, if you're looking for sympathy for the Lakers then you came to the wrong forum bro. Face it we are probably the most polarising team in basketball, you either love us or hate us. Those that arent Laker fans here would probably qualify for the later (with the exception of RZA).

😆 😆 😆

There are like 5 Lakers fan on these boards....

Anyways I am glad this got out there, now people can see how classless Mike D and his children are.

I am also glad Phil is aware of this book, and the fact that they called him a penguin. He will fa sure use this as motivation and help further improve the Lakers chances of beating them.

What's so bad about trash talking about your playoff opponent?

From what I've read from your post, it's just a bunch of overconfident players. Nothing they said was bad. The comment about Jackson was a bit harsh, but thats just trash talking. I see those comments all over the place in sports. Nothing wrong with it.

I understand why you find it not classy, but is it because its the Lakers, and not because its not classy?

Myth - Blazers
wuTa - Pistons
DanZ - Sixers
Smas - Raptors
Dr S - Kings
Royke - Raptors
Rec - Nets
RZA - Mavs (but pretty neutral)

I can pretty much guarantee you those guys found that story pretty funny, yes there are lots of Laker fans here but the members who have been around for a while generally support other teams. We had a big influx of Laker fans all at once except for me (i think a few cats thought i was just using different user names at one point) and that why it seems like its LakerCentral at times. Most of the guys above like nothing more than to see the Lakers get creamed and to be honest if i was a Blazers or Kings fan i would be the same way.

My take on the whole story is that its pretty much the Suns being overconfident and arrogant. They have earned that right somewhat in that they have a much better record than us and have beaten us about 70% of the times we've played since Shaq left. We were the same when we were going through the 3-peat, the only difference is that the Suns havent won shit yet and it still could turn out as a big egg on their faces if they dont respect their opponents. Im sure Phil and Kobe will use it as motivation and try and make them eat their words, but in the meantime i wouldnt worry about it too much - the real talking is done on the hardwood.

Yeah I am going to post the story either way, don't matter to me who anybody roots for....

Anyways playoffs start tomorrow and here is the rest of my 1st round predictions.

Chicago over Miami

Detroit over Orlando

New Jersey over Toronto

Cleveland over Washington

Houston over Utah

San Antonio over Denver - with possible upset

Dallas over Golden State - upset highly possible

I know my Raptors are going to lose, but hell, we had the first round pick last year, and now we're third in the division...****, thats damn good for one year turnaround.

And think, Bosh, Ford and Bargnani are still bloody ****ing young. I think we might surpraise a few teams, hopefully.
Colongelo for Exec of the Year, and Mitchell for coach. Has to be.

What does coach of the year even mean these days? They don't give it to the coach with the most wins, well sometimes they do but then other times they give it to the most improved coach. Dude from Foxsports said Isiah Thomas should be coach of the year...

Anthony Parker has come along nicely as the regular season wound down, i had a feeling at the beginning of the year that he was gonna be a nice pick up for them once he adjusted to the NBA game. The guy has all the skills from the triple threat position and he is an underrated defender to, i can see him heavily figuring in the Raptors plans over the years as they improve.

The Raptors are a balanced team; that's why they've become so dangerous. Bosh and Ford are the main guys, but when it comes to the supporting cast, the Raptors have one of the best in the league.

It's going to be a grind it out series. It's going to be one of the most exciting and anticipated.

Bring it on ACC, Vince can't hear you!

Mitchell deserves it though. You dont take a team that you just got (I forgot how many new faces they have since last year), then get them to the 3rd spot in the playoffs from almost being the worst team last year.

He's definitely a candidate for COY. But I think Avery Johnson has the best chance of getting it.

Nets by 10 at the half! 😄

Nets take game 1, even with Vince struggling. At the end, the ACC was SILENT!

I'm glad the Heat lost today. I went to another forum for a second and all these heat fans were complaining about the calls given to them in the game. They were also complaining about Shaq's last foul even though it was legit. Heat fans shouldnt complain about ref calls especially after last year's finals.

There were plenty of BS calls toward the Heat last year, to. THis game was just blantently rigged or something.
