Personally i get mad because i grew up watching players taking pride in stopping a player with defensive skills and effort. Taking a flop is just playing lazy defense and hoping the officials bail you out.
You're right players are doing it to win and they are taught to do it, that doesnt mean it doesnt piss me (any others it would seem) off. Even the league execs have tried to cut down the flopping so its obviously a problem but its impossible to officiate because its such a grey area (flop or not).
I would rather see people play hoops by using skill not acting, man up and play D. If you cant stop the guy you're guarding too bad, but dont be a pussy and throw yourself on the floor when the contact is not that bad (or even worse no contact at all - the "Raja Bell flop"😉.
Thats just my opinion, it just happens to be different from yours.
