Truly one of the saddest interviews I have ever listened to. Going off what Kobe said, he wont be playing for us next season. The organization ****ed up big time man.
Dont panic bro, he has since given 2 separate interviews (Dan Patrick and Loose Canons AM570) where he has said he doesnt want to be traded. I have to admit that i was devastated when i heard this interview and he actually said the words but Phil has talked to Kobe since then and smoothed things over.
As for the Lakers front office, they are a total mess. Jim Buss calling out Phil, Jeanie Buss calling out Jim, Jerry Buss getting DUI'ed. Now Kobe has had enough, there are too many cooks in the kitchen and thats why he wants the Logo back. Jerry West if he comes back will make decisions that are best for the Lakers to win now, while they have the best player in the game. He wont bullshit Kobe and he is a straight shooter who Kobe trusts and respects.
To me trading Kobe would be like the Lakers admitting that they cant build a team around the best player in the game and one of the all time great big game players, i hope the Lakers have more pride than that. Does anyone think Jordan could have got to the finals with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown as starters? Bring in some talent and if Kobe cant get it done then you think about going in a different direction, but you have to do better than Kwame, Sasha, Smush, Cook and some of the other stiffs the Kupchak has brought in.
I love the Lakers more than any player, but i have watched Kobe play as hard as he can every game for the Lakers and leave it all out on the floor. The guy works harder than any other player to be the best and i would always want a player like that on my team and so should the Lakers.

so some of the possible kobe trades ive been hearing so far are:Kobe to Bulls for Gordon and Wallace
Kobe to Mavs for Dirk
Kobe to Portland for #1 Pick (Oden)
None of these trade options seem very feasible or even realistic.
I think like other people have mentioned it's just Kobe stirring the pot hoping the team could pull off some magical moves in the off season. Now they just have to try and deliver which is easier said than done. They really don't have much to work with or offer another team other than Kobe himself. Not to mention their cap issues.
I could see Kobe leaving after the end of next season if major things or progress doesn't happen. Although Kobe loves the limelight and the star appeal that a place like LA and Hollywood bring. More importantly he likes to win and hates losing.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
If Kobe does stay, the Lakers will have to decide whether they want to win now or win later. Bynum is pretty much the Lakers only trading piece that would get an all star as nobody is touching Odom or Kwame. The problem is, by the time Bynum develops into a great player, Kobe will probably be gone by then. So the question is: Do they want to win now with Kobe still in his prime or keep their future center who might put up 20 and 10 when he reaches his prime.

He backed out 💃 💃 KOBE IS STAYING!!!Phil talked him into staying, I LOVE YOU PHIL!!! YEAAAH
Wow, the guy publically says that he wants a trade and that nothing the Lakers organization does will change his mind............Then, within a few hours after he gives the whole nation a heart attack, he decides to sniff up his tears and declare that he's staying? 😕
In the words of Mark Jackson: "C'mon Kobe, you're better than that!"
Apparently both Phil and Magic have talked to Kobe and that has smoothed over the situation. Obviously Kobe will be crucified by the media for this, for some reason he is held to a different standard every time he opens his mouth. I remember KG saying pretty much the same thing last season but he wont catch a shitstorm like this one, neither did AI.
The good news for Laker fans is that Kobe is staying put (hopefully) and the Lakers front office have to step up and improve the team.
Im not expecting them to win it all next year but if you have the games best player and you have the chance to surround him with talent you have to do it. Passing on B-Diddy, Boozer and even Artest when they were being practically given away is inexcusable. Especially when we have had a D-League PG starting for us for the last 2yrs and a starting center that needs a bucket of resin on each hand to have a chance of even catching the ball.
